Materials:
11 - Silver-lined Red seed beads
15 - Galvanized Gold seed beads
(6) 8 - Galvanized Gold seed beads
(6) 6mm Red Fire Polish Beads
Beading needles, size 12 or 13
Beading thread (I use Nymo B, keep
your tension relaxed if you use
Fireline.)
Optional:
Jump ring, chain and clasp to hangthe ower as a pendant (shown)
11 - Green seed beads to make
leaves
This pattern is my gift to you. This poinsettia ower is approximately 2.25 (5.75 cm) across
and can be used as a pendant, hair ornament, place card, napkin ring, gift topper, appliqu,tree ornament or anything else you can imagine.

Step 1:
String (4)11 beads. Go through
all (4) beads again. Go through
the rst bead one more time.
Step 2:
String (4)11 beads. Go through the
11 from the previous step, and the
second bead strung in this step, to
make (1) unit of MRAW.
Step 3:
Repeat Step 2 until you have a total of (7) units of MRAW.
(7 RAW units, and 6 beads between the units.)
Step 4:
String (1)11, (1)15, (1) 6mm Fire Polish, (1)15,
(2)11. Go through the 11 from the previous step,
and the 15, Fire Polish, 15 added in this step.
Step 5:
String (4)11 beads. Go through the 11 from the
previous step, and the second bead strung in this
step, to make (1) unit of MRAW.
Step 6:Repeat Step 5 until you have a total of (7) units of MRAW
(7 RAW units, and 6 beads between the units.)
Go through the next (2)11.

(The last 11 of the top MRAW strip, the 11
next to the Fire Polish bead, and the rst 11
of the bottom MRAW strip).
Step 8:
String (1)15 and go through the next (3)11.
String (1)15 and go through the next (2)11.
String (1)15 and go through the next (2) 11.
Step 9:
Go through the 11 on the top strip of MRAW.
Go through the 11 you started from.
Step 10:
String (2)11 and go through
the 11 on the top strip, the 11
on the bottom strip, and the 11
added in this step to make (1)
Herringbone stitch.
Step 11:
Repeat step 10 to add another
Herringbone stitch.
Step 12:
String (1)11, (1)8, (1)11 and go
through the beadwork as shown.

Step 14:

Step 13, and the next (2)11.
Step 15:

through the next 11 on the inside of
the MRAW strip. Go through the 15,
11, 15 added in the previous step,
the 11 you started from, and the
next (2)11.
Step 16:
Repeat Step 15 across the MRAW strip.
(You will be working in every other 11
on the outside of the strip, and in every
11 on the inside of the strip.)
Go through the beadwork as shown.
Step 17:
String (1)15, (1)11, (1)15 and go through the rst 11 in the center of the MRAW strip.
String (1)15, (1)11, (1)15 and go through the 11 you started from, and the next
(2)11.
Step 18:String (1)15, (1)11, (1)15 and go through
the next 11 on the inside of the MRAW
strip. Go up through the 15, 11, 15 added
in the previous step, the 11 you started
from in this step, and the next (2)11.
Step 13:
String (1)15, (1)11, (1)15 and
go through the rst 11 on the
inside of the MRAW strip.

Step 19:
Repeat Step 18 across the MRAW strip. Go through the
beadwork as shown, and nish off your threads.
Repeat Steps 1-19 to make a
total of 6 petals.
Step 20:
Arrange the (6) petals in a circle. Using a new thread,
go through each of the 8 beads, pulling them in to a
circle. Repeat. Go through the rst 8 once more.
Go through the beadwork as shown.
Step 21:
Note: If you have trouble seeing which bead to go through, you might nd
it easier to work from the back on this step.
Starting at A, go through the second from the last 11 on the next petalsMRAW strip at point B. Go back through the 11 you started from (A), and
the next (2)11, coming out at C. Skip one 11 on the next petal and go
through the 11 at D. Go through the 11 at C, and the 11 at D again. Go
through the beadwork as shown, coming out at point E.
Repeat this step between each pair of petals and nish off your
threads. If desired, take your thread around the outside edges
of the petals to make them stiffer.
