•  Hospitality, Dutch are known for their openess, honestness and they will always give you a place to stay.

•  If your invited at a Dutch home, always take something like chocolate, flowers. The same with birthday’s, if you get an invitation, you never enter the party without a present.

•  If Dutch people receive presents they will always open it right away.

•  Only use first names such as Karin, Kees, Maria, Johan.

•  Sunday is a relax day, normally a day to go to the grandparents.

•  Breakfast, lunch and Saturday is bread.

•  Dinner is always at 6 o'clock so between 5:30 and 7:00 people don’t answer their phone.

•  We eat so early because when we go out we go out at 10 till 3 oclock.

•  Because Holland is so muliticultrual, we don’t only eat dutch food.

•  The places to party are bars, with dutch music, the only places where they have big discotecas is in big cities.

•  When we finish partying we mostly gonna eat a pizza, fastfood or a sandwich.

•  Mariuhana is just legal so you can smoke where you want.

Dutch people use a lot of proverbs. We have sentence such as

• He will end up back on his feet (it will end up good)

• The monkey comes out of the sleeve (the truth will come out)

• Who not want to hear, must feel (Those who will not listen, but must bear the consequences)

• Wearing the pants (The boss in house)

• Hoi – Hi • Hoe gaat het? – How are you? • Doei – Bye
