Christopher Mueller “Hey y’all, my name is Chris! I’m a Texas man but Florida has now become my home thanks to my soon to be wife. I’ve lived in four different states, two countries, and I just finished living in the desert of west Texas. After two years of doing college evangelization work with FOCUS, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, I longed to do evangelization in a parish that I could call home. I can’t wait to meet everybody and I am so happy I have found my home in Holy Family.”

Josie Kuhlman Hey everyone! I’m Josie Kuhlman, a Jacksonville native who was born and raised in a big Catholic family of 9. I grew up a parish-ioner at St. Paul’s Catholic Church at the beach, went to the University of Florida (go Gators!) where I competed on the tennis team for 4 years, and briefly pursued a professional career after graduation until I felt God calling me to work for the Catholic Church. A Note from Fr. David regarding Distribution of Holy Communion… The current method of lining up across the front seems to be working well and giving adequate time to adjust masks and reverently consume the Host. To assist the process, the people can begin to line up as soon as the priest has consumed the Holy Eucharist. Once you have received and adjusted your mask you should return to your seat down the main aisle. The next person should fill the available spot as soon as the previous person vacates. As the number of people attending continues to increase, we may position extraordinary ministers of holy communion at the break, please follow the ushers for instructions. As we continue to adapt to the changing dynamics of the covid-19 situation, Bishop Estevez has made an adjustment in the procedures for distributing Holy Communion.

Distribution of Holy Communion in the hand is still the preferred option.

Holy Communion may not be received in the hand if a member of the faithful is wearing gloves or is holding other objects in his/her hands.

Reverence and care to ensure that the Eucharist is immediately consumed by the recipient is imperative.

At the sole discretion of the pastor, Holy Communion may be distributed on the tongue.

Therefore, keeping the above in mind

Fr. David and Fr. Christopher will be distributing Holy Communion on the tongue for those who so desire.

When receiving on the tongue, please tilt head back, and stick tongue out and over the teeth and lips.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will distrib-ute Holy Communion only in the hand. Anyone not receiving Holy Communion is invited to remain in their pew, with the understanding that children may accompany their parents. I thank you for your patience and cooperation and for your continued support of our parish.

Please join me in prayer and fasting for the quick end to this situation. God bless you. Fr. David Keegan, Pastor

The June 28th Fr. Matthew Farewell Car Parade was a huge success! We had a hundred plus cars come by to say goodbye, good luck, we'll miss you, God bless you, thank you, and we love you. Cars came with sunroofs open, decorated with signs, balloons, flags, pictures, and of course, lots of smiles and honking horns. A special thank you to the volunteers of the Fellowship Committee, Women’s Club, and Men’s Club for helping make a wonderful experience for all.

A MESSAGE FROM FR. MATTHEW...

In my humble attempt to express my gratitude to all you for your show of love and support, I am writing to you. In words alone I cannot adequately express the feeling of gratitude for good and God-loving people like you. Many of you have been a blessing to me since I began my assignment at Holy Family on September 15, 2014; and I remain ever grateful to you. I would love to write to all who organized the car parade, which was amazing, but I may leave some people out. Nevertheless, I salute all the volunteers that made it a huge success and for their special assistance to me. I would also love to thank each of you individually for your farewell and goodwill gifts either in cash or kind, but the number of people makes that difficult right now. No matter how limited my words of gratitude may be or sound, please, know that they are from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, and may God reward each of you, Amen.
