PARTICIPATION IN DRAWING COMPETITION
2nd April 2017
On 2nd April 2017, Students form Holy Heart Special School took participation in Drawing Competition in Parivartan Special School, vasant kunj. Where they got different topics to draw & color & got trophies & certificate for it. The students enjoyed the day so much they feel motivated with such participation exposure provided to them.
AUTISM AWARENESS DAY 3rd April 2017
We celebrated Autism Awareness Day in the Holy Heart Special School, it was celebrated by decorating the school. Games were planned for the students for that day. Autism and other forms of disability are part of the human experience that contributes to human diversity. We want to get one step closer to a society where those with ASD are truly valued for their unique talents and gifts. We celebrated this day not only for the ASD but for all the children with special needs who really need someone to guide, someone to lead.
Students from Modern Convent School visited H2S2
Students from Modern Convent School visited Holy Heart Special School & meet with children with special need. They loved the school Environment & really enjoyed with our students. They got to know many things about the children with special need. It was a great initiative towards inclusion. The students form Modern Convent loved spending their time with our children. They learned so many things with the teachers and our children too. The students learn about inclusion with spending their time here, they became aware about the problems that disabled children face in different basic skills of their life.
PARTICIPATION IN DRAWING COMPETITION IN BAHADURGARH

Students from Holy Heart Special School take participation in drawing competition in Samarth Institute for inclusive Education, Bahadurgarh. Our students were very happy to participate in such event where they can show their talent & also got prizes for the same. After which we take our students to a restaurant in Bahadurgarh for lunch. Students were really excited to have lunch over there.

ORGANIZED A EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP
On 14th May’17 Our project Special Rehabilitation Sciences & Research Centre organized a Educational workshop on the occasion of Mother’s Day at Lodhi road “ Indian social Institute “ . Around 250 professionals, parents & students participated in the workshop .Topics targeted in the workshop are: o Learning disability o Autism o Inclusive Education o Harnessing potential of children o Need for curriculum adaptation o Handling challenging behavior o Role of Occupational Therapist for children with special need. o Rights for the children with special needs
The topics were really beneficial for all the people present in the hall, everyone loved the food & all the arrangements. Our motto behind conducting this workshop is to spread Awareness among the society & make them aware about the Problems that every special child & their families are facing. We hope to conduct more successful workshops in future as people want us to create more awareness in society.

SUMMER CAMP 2017
Summer Camp was started till 10th June in Holy Heart Special School for the students. In which so many activities were taught to students related to Activity of daily living, social skills, Behavior skills, Eating skills & many more. Swimming, horse riding, Water Park Activity, sports activity & dance & fun activity are the part of this summer camp for the students.
Cycling State Competition 13th July 2017
Cycling State Competition Organized by Special Olympics Bharat Delhi where the students of Holy Heart Special School participated and also won the medals and certificates.

RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION
We organized a Rakhi making competition among all the students. All the children participated with great zeal and zest in the creative competition of Rakhi making. The competition saw a number of creative and colorful rakhi being made by our students. All children enjoyed the competition very well. We selected the best rakhi from all over the school.
RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION 7th Aug 2017
We celebrated Raksha Bandhan a festival in the Holy Heart Special School. It was celebrated by decorating the school. Games were planned for the students for that day. There was a dance session among the students. They enjoyed a lot. School girl ties a 'rakhi' (sacred thread) onto the wrist of a school boy on the eve of the Hindu festival Raksha Bandhan at a school. The annual festival of Raksha Bandhan, which commemorates the abiding ties between siblings of opposite sex, is marked by a very simple ceremony in which a woman ties a rakhi, which may be a colorful thread, a simple bracelet, or a decorative string, around the wrist of her brother.

INDEPENDENCE DAY AND JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION
We celebrated Independence Day and Janmashtami festival at the Holy Heart Special School. The 15th august is the most important day in the history of India. On this fortunate day our country became free after many centuries. On founder of the school came forward to perform the flag-hoisting ceremony. Exactly at ten the flag was hoisted. All the children and staff stood in attention to give salute to the flag. After the flag ceremony Jan Gan Man was sung. Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the children. Children came dressed in, as Krishna and Radha and other colorful outfits. Children celebrated the occasion by singing and dancing with great joy. They were held with great enthusiasm.
TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION 5th Sep 2017
Teacher’s Day was celebrated on Tuesday, 5th September in school with great fervor at the Holy Heart Special School. Children showed their love towards their teachers by making a handmade card. Teachers did so many activities with kids like coloring a picture, painting, cut and paste and so many art & craft activities. Children enjoyed a lot.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
Peace Day was celebrated by the students of Holy Heart Special School by making paper cranes as symbols of peace as a remembrance of Sadako and the legend of thousand cranes children together made a large crane and peace posters before the Peace Day commenced and decorated the school for the occasion. This activity instilled in them the life-skill of collaboration, cooperation and teamwork. The school children and the teachers accompanied and sang “we shall overcome” and “hum honge kamyab”. Let us all Pledge to promote respect, safety and dignity for everyone on this.

DIWALI CELEBRATION
Yeah its festival of lights and sweets… Students of Holy Heart Special School celebrated this festival with distributing sweets, making diyas, posters and rangoli. Students also performed dance with their lovey moves. Students showed zeal for every performance. And at the end of the programme they pledged for say no to crackers.
DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION
Students of Holy Heart Special School celebrated Dussehra in school with great enthusiasm and energy. In the morning assembly, teachers spoke about the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated across the country. Colorful attire worn by the children. The students also made beautiful activities. They also participated in Ravan-making competition. The children also sang devotional songs. On this occasion, solo dance competition was also organized in which children took part. Children celebrated the occasion by singing and dancing with great joy. They were held with great enthusiasm.

INTERNSHIP PROFRAMME
College students from Ashtrawakra Rehabilitation came for internship programme in Holy Heart Special School. They attend internship programme for 10 days from 23rd October to 3rd November. They learned techniques related to special education in school.
On 8th November students of Holy Heart Special School attended a sports event organized by Handicapped Children’s Parents Association and Relaxo Footwears Limited at Sneh Kunj (Home for Spastics) sector-5, Dwarka. Our students performed very well there and won many prizes there
VISIT FOR STUDENTS TO CIRCUS
Yippee it’s our day… On the occasion of Children’s Day Holy Heart Special School planned a visit for students to Circus at Ashiad Circus at Dwarka Sec-2. There students enjoyed activities performed by professionals. They saw fun activities performed by animals.
WORLD DISABILITY DAY 3rd Dec 2017
On 3rd December disability day was celebrated at Brahmashakti School. Our students also went there and participated there in every activities like running, walk, dancing etc. Students showed good enthusiasm and received prizes for competition.

ROLLER SKATING STATE GAME conducted by Special Olympics Bharat - Delhi where the student of Holy Heart Special School participated and also won the medal & Certificate.
SPORTS EVENT AT NEW ERA PUBLIC SCHOOL
On 9th December New Era Public School Dwarka organized a sports event for students. Everyone there performed well and students won medals for sports activities. Staff also participated in race.

Again on 16th December there was a sports event at Bharti College, Janakpuri organized by Aashirwad Special Education School. Many students participated there throughout Delhi region. Our school’s students also participated there and achieved many prizes there.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 2017
Christmas is a very important festival for the Christians however celebrated by thepeople of other religions all across the world. With pomp, gaiety and devotion, childrenof our school also celebrated Christmas Day, 2017 on 22nd December,2017.
It became the day full of enjoyment and surprises for all children. Festival wascelebrated with complete decoration by the children. Activities like dancing and coloringwas conducted for children in order to celebrate the festival.Gifts were distributed among children by their Santa in reality. The atmosphere wassurrounded by happiness and laughter of children.

BASANT PANCHMI 2018
'Basant Panchami' is a Hindu festival celebrating Saraswati, thegoddess of knowledge, music and art. It is celebratedthroughout the India. It is celebrated every year on the fifthday (Panchami) of the Magh month according to Hinducalendar. Basant Panchami marks the end of the winter season.
To celebrate this festival all teachers and students ofour school worshipped goddess “Saraswati” andprayed to her for great knowledge and wisdom.Everyone honored her by wearing yellow color thatday. Whole festival was celebrated by the act ofdance, music and art & craft. Everyone enjoy thefestival with great fun and enthusiasm.

Our school celebrated 69th Republic Day and spread the joy of our freedom andconstitution. The children of our school told everyone the importance of this day bydance and music activities.Group of students danced on patriotic songs, sang patriotic song and gave speech likereal leaders and gathered their confidence and lost the fear of performing in front ofmany.
Sports is very important for everyone and more important for growing young children asit enhances their physical development as well as encourages many other qualities likecommunication, social interaction and leadership quality.
To enhance and encourage these qualities Special Olympic Bharat and AmityUniversity conducted a Special Olympics Young Athletes and Child Developmentprogram for young athletes at Holy Heart Special School to motivate and encourageour children for sports from a very young age.

“ABILITY UTSAV-2018” ORGANIZEDBY YMCA NIZAMUDDIN
Many people are born with many talents andsome develop talents in them with time. Amongmany talents singing is a talent which is godgifted and for children with special needs it isability out of their disability.
To prove this ability our talented singer studentparticipated in “ABILITY UTSAV-2018” organizedby YMCA Nizamuddin. It was 2 day (22nd and23rd February 2018) Inter School Multi-Disability Integrated Festival (Talent Show) forthe challenged children.Many schools participated in that singingcompetition of that talent show among whichVivek- student of our school won 1st prize forsinging. It was a proud moment for all of us tosee him winning with flying colors.
HOLI CELEBRATION 2018
On 28th Feb 2017, “Holi” the festivalof colors was celebrated in theschool with colors and flowers,sweets were distributed to thestudents, students enjoyed in DJeveryone was dancing and in a veryjolly mood. We played games withthe children and everyone washappy in the shower of colors.

A workshop and discussion had been organized at Holy Heart Special School by SpecialRehabilitation Science and Research Centre with support of Abbott Healthcare.
The speaker of the workshop was Honorable Dr. Praveen Kumar, Pediatric Neurologistfrom Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
The key content of workshop was Epilepsy- Signs and Symptoms, Causes andPreventions. This workshop and discussion lead to useful information for all parents andprofessionals who were not really aware about Epilepsy.

DISTRICT LEVEL SPECIAL OLYMPICBHARAT UNDER “KHELO INDIA”
Participating in any sports event and winning that was never difficult for any child of HolyHeart Special School. Again 3 children of our school proved this. Ansh, Yash and Shreshthaparticipated in Soft Ball Throw (SBT) and achieved First, First and Second positionrespectively.
This sports event was conducted by Special Olympic Bharat under “Khelo India” bannerat Army Public School, Delhi Cantt on 20th and 21st March,2018.These children will be further trained for State Level games.

Ansh and Yash participated in Soft Ball Throw (SBT) and achieved First and Secondposition respectively.
