T.S. Eliot’s
Four Quartets accompanied by piano music of Chopin
T.S. Eliot’s literary masterpiece, The Four Quartets, explores the themes of
eternity, time, life and death, which are at the heart of the Paschal Mystery.
A devout Christian, he expressed the mysteries of the Faith in a subtle and
complex way, bringing them into relationship with the existential aporias of
contemporary humanity.
In this presentation, the piano music of Chopin, with its emotional and
spiritual depth, provides apt illustration of Eliot’s work.
