THE CHURCH ALIVE January 17-18 is a celebration weekend in all 199 parishes across the Diocese of Pittsburgh to mark an important milestone in Our Campaign for the Church Alive!...the successful conclusion of the Solicitation Phase of this historic initiative. The Pledge Redemption Phase continues for five years after the completion of our parish campaign. On Mon., Jan. 26, Bishop David Zubik will announce the results and impact of the campaign. Here at Holy Sepulcher Parish, I want to personally thank all who gave of their time, talent and treasure in sacrificial support of the Campaign. In addition to securing $1,571,526.00 in pledges, the Campaign has helped to raise awareness of our responsibility to the future of our parish and the wider Church and to continue the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. To date, we have invested your gifts in partial debt reduction, the new parking lot and campus mechanical upgrades. We will continue to update you on the progress toward our priority needs. Again, thank you! Sincerely Yours in Christ, Fr. Robert Cedolia, Pastor

The Sanctuary Candle is burning this week in memory of Edward & William McDonald,

From Family.

Sunday Reflection Young Samuel is acutely sensitive to the voice that calls him in the temple. As soon as the living God pronounces his name, the child awakens, attentive to the Presence. Through the instruction of Eli, he is open to recognize and to name the One who speaks. Something similar happens the first time Jesus meets some of his future disciples. Jesus is walking on the banks of the Jordan. On the testimony of the Baptist who points him out, two men begin to look for him, attentive to his word, “Come and see.” There is no constraint. Jesus invites them to walk freely toward the truth. Of the two disciples who follow Jesus, only Andrew is named. We are left to guess that the other is the beloved disciple. But behind his anonymity he is each of us, called in the same way to recognize the Lord.
