HOLY TRINITY PARISH MISSION The Three Great Loves -- Take some time to cultivate love in your life. Based on the Great Commandment, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength… You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” Fr. Frank Desiderio, CSP, uses a multi-media presentation to explore how we can love God, receive God’s love and extend that love to others, including ourselves. Join us at 9am or 7pm Monday thru Wed. March 25-27. Hospitality will follow after each mission talk. More information will follow in the coming weeks. For now, mark your calendar. Fr. Frank will speak at all weekend masses March 23 and 24.

MARCH 3, 2019

From today’s Gospel reading: Jesus said: "A good person out of the store of goodness in their heart. Produces good, but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil, from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.” Reflection: Our individual hearts need tending. Our church heart needs attention as well. For example: our church communities do not always produce the good fruits of mutual forgiveness; we can be judgmental towards non-members; we may not communicate hospitality to the outsider and marginalized, etc. So, we ask ourselves: - How would you describe your parish community’s heart? - What can you do to add to "the store of goodness" in your parish?

Daylight Savings Time starts next Sunday, March 10. Don’t forget to set your clocks one hour ahead!

HOLY TRINITY PRAYER CORNER

Loving God, without You I can do nothing.

By Your Spirit help me to know what is right and

to be eager in doing Your will. Teach me to find new life through penance.

Keep me from sin, and help me live by Your commandment of love.

God of love, bring me back to You. Send Your Spirit to make me strong in faith and active in good works.

May my acts of penance bring me Your forgiveness.

Open my heart to Your love and prepare me for the coming feast

of the Resurrection of Jesus. Amen.

THANK YOU FROM BENEDICT HOUSE

Thanks to all of you who gave so unselfishly of your time and talent to prepare meals at Benedict House in January. The response was overwhelming this year and we fulfilled our assigned days plus extras. The men always like to have Holy Trinity cooks because of the great menus and congeniality. God bless your generosity!
