Development and Peace's Fall Action Campaign

Create a Climate of Change!

Responding to the call of Pope Francis to take urgent action on curbing climate change, Development and Peace has launched a new campaign: Create a Climate of Change! This campaign calls on all Canadian Catholics and people of good faith to take concrete action to help reduce climate change, which is having the most devastating impacts on the poor and vulnerable in the Global South. In Decem-ber, world leaders will be meeting in Paris at the United Nations Climate Change Confer-ence (COP21) to negotiate a binding and universal agreement on the world's climate. Sign D & P's Action Card, which will be distributed next Sunday, asking the Prime Minister to sign an agreement at COP21 that sets the target to keep the rise in temperature below 20 C and to be a leader in achieving that target. On the card, you can also share with the Prime Minister your own personal action to help reduce climate change. The survival of our planet and its people is at stake!

SOCK & MITTEN DRIVE Holy Trinity Social Justice committee is collecting

TOQUES SOCKS MITTENS

(no scarves, please) To be distributed to children who go to school without. They will be distributed at Sacred Heart and Holy Rosary Schools.

The 2015 Archdiocesan Annual Appeal Campaign is underway! The "Appeal Year" runs from January to December, with the public campaign in the Fall. You may donate to the Appeal throughout the year — at Holy Trinity, we have the opportunity to distribute our donations throughout the year using the monthly offer-ing envelope in our envelope boxes. You may also just choose to make a one-time donation during this Fall Campaign. The various options for making a donation are available so that you may contribute to the mission of the church in our midst in a way that correlates to your ability. You should have already received information on this year’s Appeal with your per-sonal donation cards. If you did not receive one in the mail with this fall, there are extra pledge cards/brochures in the Gather-ing Area. Giving is one way we have of both growing the Church, and deepening our Spiritual lives. Allow God’s own generosity to bear abundant fruit through your gifts as you support your Church in the Archdiocese of Regina. To date, Holy Trinity has raised over $18,000 of its

$63,000 goal.

Reverence for Life Month October 2015 In January of 2013, Archbishop Daniel Bohan proclaimed October as a month dedicated to the celebration of the value and dignity of human life in the Archdiocese of Regina. This fourth week is especially dedicated to the disabled. Become informed about euthanasia and assisted suicide. Lobby the government about this issue. Help someone who is elderly and let them know that they are not a burden. Pray for those who

are elderly, sick and suffering. Continue to pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit during the Synod on the Family gathered in Rome until

Oct. 25.

Holy Trinity helps the Regina Food

Bank. This month, help us fill 2 barrels with non-

perishable items such as:

Peanut butter Pasta Infant formula, Canned vegetables, beans, soups, stews Healthy cereals, fruit juice

Bring items next weekend:

Oct. 31 & Nov. 1

Your generosity is appreciated as winter and

Christmas approaches.
