Graduation Requirements • 8 English credits
• 6 Math credits (Must include Algebra I (2) & Geometry (2) (These can be counted if taken in Middle School)
• 6 Social Science credits (including Civics (1) & US History (2)
• 6 Science credits (4 credits must be lab-based)
• 2 World Language credits (Fresh. MYP WL)
• 6 Core Elective credits (English, Science, Math, Social Science, World Language)
• Two of these will be filled by sophomore MYP WL
• 1 Health credit
• 3 P.E. credits
• 1 Fine Arts credit (MYP Requires 2)
• 11 Elective credits
Total Credits = 50 (minimum)

Colorado’s Higher Education
Admission Requirements (HEAR) All public four-year colleges and universities in the state of
Colorado require the following courses for admission:
English 4 years
Mathematics 4 years
Natural/Physical Science (2 lab-based) 3 years
Social Studies 3 years
World Language 1 year
Academic (Core) Electives 2 years

Course Requests
• Your 5 core academic teachers will be
discussing next year’s courses with you in
their subject area.
• Math and World Language placement will be
by teacher recommendation
• Core academic courses will be pre-loaded
into Infinite Campus (IC).
• Talk with your teacher or counselor about any
questions or concerns you have

approval? You may request these in IC but if you do not get
approval, you will not be enrolled

How do I enroll in an
Honors class?
• Current Honors students with at least a B- average, wishing to take an Honors class in the same subject area, do not need to complete an application.
• Students requesting an Honors class for the first time in that subject must download from Honors & AP website (link from Counseling) the Honors Program Expectation and Application.
Honors Applications
• Complete the application including most recent CSAP scores and current teacher recommendation.
• Turn in the signed Honors Program Expectation and Application to Ms. Huch-Tegano, in Campus Services
• Deadline for completed application: March 3rd
What is the IB Diploma Programme?
• Two years of advanced college prep courses
• 6-7 honors/college level courses per semester
• Teaches you how to apply what you have learned to other situations
• May receive college credit
• To prepare, you should: – Take 3-4 honors level classes as a sophomore,
including English
– Have completed the following levels (at least)
• Level II world language
• Algebra II
• You can apply anytime now through January of your sophomore year

• Notice pre-requisites and fees.
• Notice the length of the course…one semester or full year.
