Reflections of LifeNovella Gayle Renee Robinson of Parsons, TN was born on February 27, 1954 to Mary and James Bailey in Lexington, TN. She graduated in 1972 from Riverside High School and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. She lived her life quietly and enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family. She was an avid reader, and in her latter years she enjoyed reflecting and writing poetry. Gayle was always thoughtful and gave as much time to others as she could. In her poem, she reflected on the season of change and the celebration of those changes. Although she will be greatly missed, this too is a season of change. Let us celebrate a life lived to the fullest.
Gayle is preceded in death by her husband, Pius Robinson, her mother and father, two brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by one daughter: Toni Robison, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, two sisters: John Cothrine and Sandy Peterson. She also is survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.
The Feel of AutumnAutumn, a time for change,
From the warm vibrance of summer,To the crisp calm of fall,
A changing of colors,Orange, brown, red, and gold,
Ushering in winter’s cold,A purging of the old.
The smell of burning leaves,Fields of pumpkin, a time of harvest,
Hayrides, cool nights,Birds flying south
In the air a scent of change,That first frost.
Trees giving up their cloaks,A transformation of naure,
A celebration of changings seasons,A promise to renew

AcknowledgementsPerhaps you sent a card, or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent those beautiful flowers, that we saw sitting there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to bless our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part.
