Looking back after 5 Years (2011-2015)
1. Policy: lobbying and advocacy work on the
passage of the following:
• Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive
Health Act;
• Kasambahay Law (Domestic Workers Act);
• Exclusive Breastfeeding Act: towards Exclusive
and Continued Breastfeeding in the Workplace;
• Joint Memo Circular of the DBM, NAPC, DSWD
and DILG on BUB (Bottom-Up-Budgeting);
1. Poli y…….. • Quezon City Ordinance on a Framework for
Developing Programs for Workers in the Informal
Economy based on the original draft of Homenet
Philippines;
• Leadership and participation in the recrafting of
MACWIE to IETA (Informal Economy Transitioning
Act) in Sept. 2015, and facilitation of Senate
TWG meetings on the revised bill in Dec. 2015
based on the ILC 204 recommendations;

Future …. • Recognition and Representation of the informal
workers at all levels of decision-making;
• In strengthening the capacity and capability of the organizations esp on second liners;
• In upscaling/upgrading economic activities to combat the challenge of ASEAN Economic Integration;
• Help eliminate child labor;
• In deepening understanding and campaign for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators;
