How it all began.

▪ Trained as an M.D. and Chemist

▪ in a time of blood letting and harsh, untested drugs given as “medicine”.

▪ Patient left in a weakened state.

▪ Became a translator of medical, pharmacological and chemical literature-proficient in Greek, Latin, English, French, Hebrew and Arabic.

Translating Cullen’s Materia Medica on the toxicological affects (overdose) of Peruvian bark he noticed were identical to the Malaria symptoms which (Cinchona a.k.a Quinine) treated.
