Think Unique at Life UniversityThis Marietta school calls itself the not-so-little University that
is changing the world
How can compassion
change a business? How
can a full-body approach
to health impact how
society perceives health
care? How can a student
embark on a vibrant
career that not only
earns a living, but also
changes a community?
Students at Life University (LIFE) explore these questions daily, going far beyond
the standard classroom experience to study, research and innovate ways to
change health and wellness to better the human experience. Whether students
pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in the largest single-campus chiropractic
college in the world, or earn a bachelor degree in complex fields like nutrition,
exercise science or psychology, a LIFE education provides all the tools for
success in a career, as well as a socially-conscious mind-frame to shape the
community.
LIFE considers health to be a sum of all its parts: mental, physical, spiritual
and emotional. That’s why the University’s vitalistic philosophy applies across
every academic program, exploring how an atmosphere of full-body wellness
can improve mental health, physical health and athleticism, business and even
society at large. And while students will be discussing big ideas, they’ll be
studying in intimate class sizes. With a 15 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio, students
9
Georgiareceive one-on-one
mentorship from leading
experts in their field and
can always expect prompt
responses and assistance
from their professors.
Unique degrees set LIFE
graduates apart. For
instance, LIFE’s psychology
degree programs offer an innovative focus on positive psychology. Normal
psychology programs are often illness-based, studying diagnosis and treatment;
positive psychology analyzes how pro-social emotions like empathy and
compassion can lead to greater health benefits, create stronger leaders and
affect social change. Similarly, LIFE’s bachelors programs in nutrition and
dietetics examine food and nutrients as fuel to optimize health to its fullest
potential. Students cook up healthy menus in professional test kitchens,
creating contemporary solutions for the average person, the elite athlete and
those with special dietary needs.
Just 20 minutes away from Atlanta, LIFE’s beautiful Marietta campus is nestled
into 110 wooded acres, featuring a lake, sustainable “green” buildings and
more than five miles of jogging trails. Students enjoy all the amenities and
opportunities of a big city with the friendly environment of a small school.
With a burgeoning athletics department, more than 60 student clubs and
organizations, and a
sprawling campus,
LIFE has something for
everyone. LIFE students
enjoy a top-notch
collegiate experience as
well as undergraduate,
graduate and
professional degrees
in unique and rapidly
growing fields.

High school students interested in taking dual-enrollment courses through Middle
Georgia State University now have much more flexible and affordable options.
Recent changes in Georgia state law streamlined the dual-enrollment programs known
as Accel, Hope Grant for dual enrollment and Move on When Ready into one program
with one funding source. The streamlined program will be offered under the name Move
on When Ready.
“We are proud to offer this opportunity to eligible students who want to begin university
studies at no or very little cost while completing high school,” said Dr. Christopher Blake,
president of Middle Georgia State. “It enhances their academic experiences and, in some
cases, allows them to earn degrees. Their presence also enriches the student culture on
our campuses.”
High school students and their parents/guardians will be most interested in the following
Move on When Ready highlights:
• It will be possible for some Move On When Ready students to complete their high
school requirements and earn associate’s degrees at the same time. At Middle Georgia
State, students could commute to classes or, if eligible, participate in The Georgia
Academy residential program on the Cochran Campus.
• Eligible students may now attend a post-secondary institution part-time or full-time.
• Eligible students can participate during fall, spring and summer semesters, and the
program has been expanded to include 9th through 12th graders, as long as they
meet certain criteria. Previously, students could not participate in the summer or
prior to 11th grade.
• Tuition and fees will continue to be covered under the Move on When Ready
program but now, in addition, mandatory fees will be covered. There will be no
application or orientation fees charged to students. Also, institutions are now
required to provide textbooks to Move on When Ready students at no cost.
• Eligible students enrolled in private high schools or home schools as recognized by
state law may continue to participate in Move on When Ready.
Move on When Ready students must meet certain admissions requirements. To

Northeast Catholic College is a small, residential, Catholic liberal arts college founded in 1973, as part of the new wave of renewal in American Catholic higher education.
The college’s curriculum includes five majors and integrates the Socratic study of the Great Books with the classical seven liberal arts. The study of theology and an eight-semester series of seminars in philosophy and humanities are at the center of the integrated curriculum. In their junior and senior years, students build on their core studies and take up majors in theology, politics, philosophy, and the Great Books. Students also can choose to study in Rome and Norcia during the summer.
Through the college’s new “Career Pathways Program,” the college researches and communicates internship opportunities, pre-professional programs, and employment opportunities to its students and their families through a special website and electronic newsletter. The college also organizes a series of professional seminars for its students to help them develop the skills needed to find, keep, and advance in their first job after college. And the college also helps students understand employment in vocational terms and develop an integrated theology of work.
The college offers an Apostolic Catechetical Diploma following the completion of six semesters of theology and catechesis that cover the entire Catechism of the Catholic Church, as well as pivotal Church documents and key texts by the Church Fathers and Doctors of the Church. The faculty, chaplain, and student life staff annually take the Oath of Fidelity, and theologians have received the mandatum.
Northeast Catholic College rests on the 3,500-foot Mount Kearsarge in Warner, New Hampshire, a quaint town of 2,800 residents in the Lakes Region. But students are also just 90 minutes from Boston, with numerous educational, cultural, and social opportunities.

“I left Elmira with a newfound sense of confidence with my academics. I had taken a college level class and I performed very well. Succeeding in this class made me confident that I would do well in college if I tried hard, and that I could do anything I set my mind to. This experience also gave me a leg up when applying to college and for scholarships, because I showed that I was already mature and thinking about my future.” —Emily J.

Why would you choose one-size fits all? Many small, private, liberal arts schools advertise
small classes and individualized attention. Antioch
College offers those things of course, but we do
things a little bit differently. We’re looking for
visionaries. For mavericks and leaders who are
ready not just for rigorous studies, but who are prepared to stand up and engage the
world. From the arts to biomedical science, studying at Antioch means stepping outside
the box to examine the most critical issues of our time from every angle.
Co-op: Not Your Average Work +StudyWe’re the only college in the nation to require four full-time co-ops, domestically and
internationally, over four years of study. Now more than ever, it’s imperative that you
graduate with the ability to synthesize what you learn in the classroom (and beyond)
into skills and knowledge that will not only help you get the job after college, but that
will position you for leadership and innovation in our changing world.
Victories for HumanityOur founding president, Horace Mann, told Antioch students that they should be
ashamed to die until they win some victory for humanity. It’s a heavy charge. It means
that we’re not the place to go for collegiate athletics. We’re proud of the fact that we
haven’t had a football team since 1929. And we’re serious about things that really
matter, which means that your tuition dollars support academics, rather then athletic
complexes.
Sustainability: Exploring New and Better Ways of LivingEat fresh and local food from our on-campus farm. Live in residence halls that are
designed to be energy efficient—North Hall is the second-oldest LEED Gold certified
building in the nation. With campus-wide geothermal and solar initiatives, we’re
committed to moving beyond merely talking about the science behind environmental
sustainability, to actually being a laboratory for change, a playground for exploring new
and better ways of living.
Antioch isn’t for everyone, but for the right student–the visionary, the leader, the critical
thinker–there is no experience like it.

A Home for Homeschoolers at Franciscan
Lauren Ramseyer found a whole new world as a student at Franciscan University of Steubenville, which dove-tailed nicely with her K-12 homeschool education.“My parents decided to homeschool so that my five younger siblings and I would be classically educated, have more time to forge family bonds, and to learn to reason within a Catholic worldview,” says Lauren, who grew up in east-central Illinois. “I attribute my academic success and knowledge of the faith to the environment they provided.”Lauren spent the first year of college at a local community college and then transferred to Franciscan University in August 2013. Now a senior communication arts major and theology minor, she describes Franciscan as a seamless continuation of her faith-and-reason-based homeschooled background. “Choosing the right university in which to spend such a crucial part of one’s life is so important,” says Lauren. “I am extremely grateful I found my way to Franciscan. The school’s strong sense of Catholic identity makes this place feel like home.”Lauren says Franciscan is large enough to offer a diverse range of extracurricular activities, yet personal enough that teachers know you and care about your education. Lauren currently serves at the editor-in-chief of The Troubadour, Franciscan’s student newspaper, writes for other campus publications, and runs a small business on the side. When she graduates in May 2016, she hopes to find employment with a newspaper or publishing house before she marries her high school sweetheart in June 2017.Operated by the Franciscan Friars of the Third Order Regular, Franciscan University serves over 2,500 students from all 50 states and 13 countries—including hundreds of homeschooled students. All students who submit homeschooled transcripts are eligible for the full range of financial aid offered by Franciscan University. MOUNT ST. JOSEPH U N I V E R S I T Y
Start Smart with a Liberal Arts Education
As you narrow your college choices, remember to seriously consider liberal arts
institutions and what they offer—a strong, common foundation of teaching and
learning in the arts and sciences—with courses in humanities, philosophy, science, and
ethics, plus a lot more.
A liberal arts education is defined by broad and discipline-specific course work
integrated with co-curricular learning experiences. The choices for co-curricular
learning are as varied as your interests. There’s cooperative education, service learning,
leadership programs, faculty-led research projects, internships, and cultural immersion
programs.
For many students—and the numbers are rising—liberal arts is a worthy education
choice and a winning choice when it comes to employment. According to research
by the AAC&U/Hart Research Associates, “More than 80 percent of employers want
colleges and universities to increase their focus on critical thinking, analytical
reasoning, complex problem solving, analysis, and written and oral communication.”
These same skills are fundamental outcomes of a liberal arts education.
College can prepare you for your first job after graduation. A liberal arts education
at Mount St. Joseph University prepares you for a lifetime of career successes. Our
smaller class sizes and supportive environment enables students to thrive, and recent
student survey results indicate high satisfaction with faculty interaction and learning
communities.
At the Mount, you’ll grow as a person and sharpen your skills. Equally important, you’ll
discover the value of learning and the value of a broader perspective. The Mount
offers more than 40 undergraduate degree programs; graduate programs in business,
education, health sciences and religious studies; and doctoral degrees in physical
therapy and nursing.
Mount St. Joseph University is a private, Catholic, liberal arts university founded in
1920 by the Sisters of Charity. Our mission emphasizes values, integrity and social
responsibility. To learn more, visit www.msj.edu/visit.

to become leaders in their careers, communities, families, and the world.
Faith is at the core of everything we do at Ohio Christian. From the classrooms to the
dorms — God’s word is living and active. We trust that the Lord is active and working
in our lives, communities, and world everyday.
More than 4300 students attend Ohio Christian University, making OCU one of the
fastest-growing universities in the nation. Located in Circleville, Ohio, just 30 miles
south of Columbus, the main campus features new facilities for studying, dining,
athletics, and living. The latest edition to the growing campus is the new student
center featuring a dining hall, auxiliary gym, bookstore, café, and recreation room.
Students in the residential, on-campus program experience the OCU Family, which is
made up of 600 traditional students studying everything from Business & Government
to Ministry, as well as more than 3500 adult students.
Our small size allows for a vibrant community that’s dedicated to ensuring every
student knows Christ, while receiving a hands-on approach to education. Your
professors will become mentors and friends. Your classes will always be full of friends,
rather than 600 strangers like at other schools.
Students develop ethical character and a servant’s heart through a focus on service
and ministry. Students who wish to compete in athletics can choose from any of our
six NAIA sports teams.
OCU offers competitive tuition rates for all programs as well as additional federal and
state financial aid, military education benefits and discounts, scholarships and work
study. Approximately $3.3 million in scholarship were awarded in 2015.

Grove City College: Higher education with a higher purposeGrove City College offers a rich academic tradition at an amazing value in a Christ-centered community.
At Grove City College, students grow intellectually and spiritually through a unique liberal arts and sciences curriculum that aims to educate and enlighten young people as they determine their professional and personal calling. The College is more than just a school, it’s a community dedicated to faith and learning that cares about and challenges all students to excel not only in the classroom, but the world at large.
We provide students the knowledge and skills they’ll need to compete in the marketplace delivering an unwavering spiritual foundation that enables them not only to do well, but to do good. While the quality of education at Grove City College is unsurpassed, the price tag is most decidedly not. Tuition is less than half the cost of competitive, private liberal arts colleges before scholarship or financial aid support.
A rich academic traditionEstablished in 1876, Grove City College quickly evolved into a nationally-ranked institution of higher learning known for being a staunch defender of faith and academic freedom. The College has long championed the Western intellectual tradition, free market economics and an independent spirit and the life of the mind.
Our extraordinary faculty are dedicated to educating hearts and minds. They are teachers, mentors and friends to students ready to be challenged and informed. Grove City College is a place where high academic standards produce outstanding outcomes for graduates well-prepared to pursue their life’s calling. It’s a transformational experience in more ways than you can imagine.
Grove City College is named one of the “Smartest Liberal Arts Colleges in America,” according to Business Insider, as well as “One of America’s Most Beautiful College Campuses” by Christian Colleges Online. The quality of our academics is a key reason we consistently rank as one of the nation’s best colleges by Princeton Review, U.S. News and World Report, Forbes and others.
55
PennsylvaniaAn amazing valueIn an era where students routinely rack up tens of thousands of dollars in debt to secure a degree, Grove City College’s goal is to keep higher education affordable. Tuition is less than half the cost of the national average of other private liberal arts colleges and the lowest among all of Pennsylvania’s private colleges and universities.
We keep tuition affordable through prudent fiscal discipline. Grove City College operates on a very efficient budget and with very little debt. We don’t follow the lead of most colleges who offer tuition discounts to some students while other students’ tuition (at times unknowingly) subsidizes such incentives. As a matter of principle, Grove City College accepts no federal funds, including federal student loans. That independence means we don’t spend our valuable resources in compliance with government regulations and mandates for higher education, and can dedicate resources to in-house financial aid programs and providing access to private loans, instead.
Grove City College has been ranked a #1 Top Value in the country among liberal arts colleges according to Consumer’s Digest, and as a top “College that Pays You Back” by Princeton Review based on return on your investment.
A Christ-centered learning communityThe connection between faith and learning is central to our mission at Grove City College. Our faculty are Christian scholars who understand and live their disciplines as deeply and as well as they understand humankind’s place in God’s creation. Christian truth and inspired wisdom form the foundation on which our faculty teach within a worldview that inspires us -- not as a limiting principle, but one that is liberating: Faith illuminates knowledge, placing higher education into an immutable context that enriches the human condition.
Students join a strong spiritual community at Grove City College, where students from all traditions are welcomed and encouraged to think about what they believe and live their faith, as they choose and as fully as possible. Through twice-weekly Chapel services, student ministries, Christian organizations and late-night residence hall discussions, the campus community serves to reinforce and expand a student’s faith.
Grove City College is one the nation’s top Christian colleges, ranked as a Christian College of Distinction and one of America’s “50 Best” Christian colleges.

He is among the nearly 5,700 students benefiting from the college’s real-world approach – the success of which is affirmed by the Fortune 500 companies at twice-yearly career fairs – that provides access to the latest equipment in classrooms, labs, the Madigan Library and dedicated study areas.
Courses are taught by faculty who often have relevant work-related knowledge, and industry representatives have an active role in developing a workforce-responsive curriculum. An excellent faculty-to-student ratio ensures personal attention, and free tutoring is available.
A full college experience awaits those who desire on-campus housing, NCAA Division III athletics, Greek Life and opportunities to join clubs and organizations – many affiliated with professional organizations in students’ fields of study.
As a special mission affiliate of Penn State committed to applied technology education, the college offers more than 100 bachelor, associate, and certificate majors in careers ranging from manufacturing, design, transportation, and construction to hospitality, health, business, and natural resources.
The college has been named a Military Friendly School for seven consecutive years, with a full-time Veterans Affairs coordinator in the Financial Aid Office – an Army veteran himself – to discuss educational opportunities for servicemen and women.

Recent Waynesburg grad fulfills calling to travel and teach around the world
Before she arrived at Waynesburg University, Rebecca Lane had never been on an airplane or traveled beyond the states that border Pennsylvania.
After becoming a Bonner Scholar and a Vira I. Heinz Scholarship recipient, however, she seized the opportunity to explore the world – serving and studying locally and internationally in Pittsburgh, Nashville, Jamaica, the Bahamas and Haiti, among others. Currently, Lane serves as a volunteer at Navajo Nation in Saint Michaels, Arizona.
The 2015 early childhood education alumna works with Mercy Volunteer Corps, an organization run through the Catholic Volunteer Network which places volunteers all over the United States and South America. She is currently serving with the Saint Michaels Association for Special Education, who recognized a need on the Saint Michaels Navajo reservation for autistic support. Lane teaches the first-ever autistic support class on the reservation, working with three Navajo paraprofessionals.
Lane said her time at Waynesburg was invaluable in preparation for her current position. The University’s dedication to faith, learning and serving helped her to combine the three things she loves – God, special education and service.
“I had so many different field placement experiences [at Waynesburg], that entering the unfamiliar was not an issue,” said Lane.
In 2013, she was selected as a scholarship winner for the Vira I. Heinz Program for Women in Global Leadership. The program helped fund Lane’s trip to Jamaica, where she served by teaching students at the Jamaica Association for the Deaf school.
“I am waiting for God to reveal to me what is next,” said Lane. “I am learning that we end up where we are meant to be. I never planned to attend Waynesburg, but it was the best decision I have made up to this point in my life. So, I know each step will be just as incredible, whatever it may be.”

At Visible Music College, you aren’t learning to be an artist. You are an artist,
learning. Music, ministry, life: this is where the three intersect. At our campuses
in Memphis, Chicago and Dallas, we train and equip musicians, technicians
and business professionals in skill and character for effective service in the
music industry and in the church. Our accredited bachelor degree programs in
music, music production or music business place equal emphasis on spiritual,
professional and academic.
Visible Music College was created by Ken Steorts. In his time touring as
founding guitarist, songwriter, and road manager of the rock band Skillet, he
saw a large number of young Christian musicians with great character but little
skill instruction, or with great skill but little spiritual leadership. Ken envisioned
an educational center where academic and vocational study of music would be
combined with character-building discipleship and community. In the winter
of 1999, Ken left the band to create a program that could train well-trained,
passionate musicians and world-changers. Visible Community School of Music
and Worship Arts was launched in the fall of 2000.
Now, students at Visible Music College gain classroom experience with
talented musicians and music business professionals, including GRAMMY®
and Independent Country Music Award winners. They have opportunities
for professional growth through the college’s label, Madison Line Records,
which employs students in areas like tour management, booking, publishing
administration and music marketing. And through the college’s house system,
students build community and focus on discipleship alongside the guidance of
dedicated staff members. Learn more at Visible.edu.

THE Catholic College destination for Home Schooled Students.
Homeschoolers EXCEL Here!
Christendom College encourages and welcomes applications from homeschooled
students. In fact, each year, approximately 60% of the incoming students come from a
homeschool background, and over the years, many of our top academic achievers have
been home educated students.
Christendom College recognizes that your experience as a homeschooled student
will be somewhat different from students coming from traditional schools. The
Admissions Committee will evaluate your academic record and non-academic interests
and commitments within the context of your particular home school curriculum and
experience.
When you apply, you’ll discover that many of the people working with you during
the application process have had much experience with homeschooling—either
as homeschool educators themselves, or graduates of high school homeschooling
programs. Christendom’s Director of Admissions, Sam Phillips, is a graduate of the
Kolbe Academy home schooling program, and Christendom’s VP for Enrollment, Tom
McFadden, is the father of 10 homeschooled children - using Seton Home Study and a
variety of other sources to educate his children.
Homeschooled students are drawn to Christendom for a number of reasons:
• Christendom’s rigorous academic education, with a focus on the great works of
Western Civilization, taught in the classical Scholastic method, and from a Catholic
worldview
• Christendom’s high standards of excellence in culture, including a Christ-centered
living environment with rules and regulations governing how students live
• Christendom’s emphasis on reading and writing throughout the entire curriculum
• Christendom’s ability to help all of its students become leaders in society and for the
Church through the many extra-curricular offerings on campus
• Christendom’s own generous financial aid program, funded by donors, not taxpayers,
enables families to afford the investment in a Catholic liberal arts education
