Parent/Carer Information Homework Project Please support your child to find out as much as they can about friendships and their own friends. They could think about: What is a friend? Who is your friend? What does it mean to be a good friend? Why is it important to be kind to others? What kind of things do friends do together? What do you do with your friends? The children can present their project in any way i.e. drawings of their friends or photographs on a poster. Projects are due in on Friday 20th October. Year FS2 Miss Cooper & Miss Beeley

Homework Project Please support your child to find out as much as they can about friendships and their own friends.

They could think about:What is a friend?

Who is your friend?What does it mean to be a good friend?Why is it important to be kind to others?

Below is a brief outline of what your child will be learning during this half term

Be aware of their own feelings and to know that their words and actions

Maths Know that numbers identify

how many objects are in a set. Counting objects up to 10 and

beyond Take an interest in shape

through sustained construction by discussing arrangements and talking about shapes

Naming 2d and 3d shapes and beginning to recognise the properties.

Using everyday mathematical language i.e. heavier, lighter, taller, wider.

Expressive Arts and Dezign Make a friendship quilt

Combine different materials together

Explore a range of different media

Understanding the world Talk from the police about their role

in the community, how they help others and stranger danger

Visit from the fire service and a chance to explore the engine

Visit from the paramedic and a chance to explore the ambulance

Visit from the dental nurse or hygienist

objects Playing and exploring together Parachute activities to develop

negotiating space successfully adjusting speed or direction.

Things to remember!!! To bring book bags to school every day.

PE Wednesday- Miss Cooper’s class.

PE Tuesday – Miss Beeley’s class.

Please listen to your child read 3 times

per week.
