Objectives:To write equations in slope-intercept form

To graph linear equations

Linear Equation:

An equation whose graph is a line.

Examples: y = 2x + 5 f(x) =

y-intercept:the y-coordinate of the point where the line crosses the y-axis.

Slope-Intercept Form of a Linear Equation:

y = mx + bSlope-Intercept has TWO important parts:
