Honors Award Nominees Recognizes an associate who lives our values, leads our culture and delivers strong results.

Robin Beck Kansas City During Robin's time with Trane she has really stepped up and taken responsibility for many different pro-jects and she consistently churns out great work! Recently, Robin successfully managed three different RFP responses, Parts training and billing, and event coordination all while keeping up with her usual day-to-day tasks. Robin had very tight deadlines and worked all weekend to ensure a very important RFP response was completed by Monday. Not only that, but she caught some very important items that were missing which could have cost us the job. She is very thorough and never cuts corners. Robin is not afraid to go the extra mile to get the job done and she always makes sure it's done right. Robin is huge asset to this organization and truly deserving of this award.

Brad Reischman Kansas City For starters we have many technicians that deserve accolades. We have a great group of guys that do a great job for us everyday. In a lot of cases many of us roll with the understanding that it's just apart our job. Thanks to all but the one I would like to nominate is Brad Reischman. Brad goes way above and beyond. Brad always has a great attitude and is willing to help out anyone. It doesn't matter that he's apart of the Applied Group in service. He is willing to step up and help the Unitary Group when needed. Brad has be-come a very well rounded technician because of his willingness to help with any situation and to do the re-search needed until he figures to problem out. Thanks Brad for all you do. This is very well deserved and a little overdue.

Chuck Smith Springfield Chuck shows concern and will go the extra to help find parts to help us better serve our customers. He is good about calling back with information and following up.

Derek Dalton Omaha Never complains. Goes to any site asked to go to without hesitation. Works hard and takes great care of customers.

Lori Anderson Tulsa Lori wears so many hats in the Tulsa office, I'm not even sure what her official position is! Whenever I need something, she is always right there to help with a smile. She has never said "that's not my job" and she has an incredible "One Trane" attitude. Amazingly, on top of everything else she does, she is always on top of things in the office, being proactive in planning and helping out whenever someone needs her. She truly goes above and beyond every day and always puts Trane first. Thank you, Lori, for your awesomeness!!!

Tracie Rossi Kansas City Tracie accepted the role of Project Administrator in the service department less than 12 months ago. Just a few weeks into her new role she had to take an 8 week leave of absence to deal with some medical issues. When she returned it was like starting all over. As she was gaining an understanding of her normal daily duties her counterpart and trainer was let go. Tracie was left to figure things out on her own. This did not discourage Tracie as she accepted the challenge and pushed forward. She does not make excuses, she finds answers. Tracie quickly learned who to call at Corporate for Q&A and who to ask for help internally. Tracie consistently works 55 to 60 hours per week (without complaining) to keep our billings and claims current. Tracie processes all customer invoices, credits and rebills, vender invoices and timesheets for 28 techni-cians. To date, Tracie has single handily improved our WIP to a position it has not been in for years while still trying to learn all of the fascist of her new role (i.e. chiller rental billings, Z1 billings, Lynx ordering just to name a few). Having never been involved with Parts to Service Inventory management, Tracie had yet an-other task to learn and learn quickly as the end of year is upon us. Tracie recognized the importance of having a clean inventory report and dove in. She cleaned up our Parts to Service inventory that had been in shambles for over 3 years. For the 1st time in years our parts inventory is current with no outstanding items to resolve. We are fortunate to have Tracie on our team; her dedication and accountability are price-less. Thank you Tracie for all you do.

Chad Porter Springfield Stepping up to the plate. Chad has taken on the new role of Controls Project Manager and has recently taken on all of the Springfield Projects including all Joplin Schools projects. As if this wasn't enough we are short one controls technician and Chad has stepped up and is filling in as part time technician as well with no complaints.

Bradley Roberts Kansas City SINCE JOINING THE PARTS TEAM ABOUT A YEAR AGO BRADLEY HAS BECOME A VALUABLE ASSET TO OUR BUSINESS. HE HAS GAINED RESPECT AND TRUST FROM BOTH CUSTOMERS AND CO-WORKERS IN HIS TIME HERE. HE STRIVES TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO SERVE OUR CUSTOMERS AND ENSURE THEIR SATISFACTION DAILY.

Michelle Gilbert Tulsa I would like to nominate Michelle Gilbert in Tulsa for an award. The reason for the nomination is that Michelle, without hesitation, agreed to help me by taking over the Rental units jobs, set up’s, invoicing, etc. This was a huge relief to have the opportunity to “offload” that responsibility temporarily while I try to manage KC’s PA business, tend to month end/year end and assist with onboarding of our new PA as of 12/23/2013. Michelle never hesitated, she immediately agreed to help. Her tone and all responses were positive and enthusiastic; Michelle has the “can do” attitude that I love to see and hear. With Michelle doing this, she has went so far above and beyond that it truly impresses me.

Kelly Burke Kansas City I would like to nominate Kelly Burke for an award. The reason for the nomination is that Kelly was very open and willing (and available) to help me with tasks that I didn't know how to complete. She provided instruction assistance with me in ordering parts in Job Center. This may not sound like much to the aver-age reader but it is very complicated! Often times we PA's receive jobs to order materials or equipment for, that have missing or incomplete information. Kelly helped me through that. She was competent, encouraging, positive, and at a moments notice, Kelly was always will to drop what she was doing to come back and help me at my desk. This consumed several hours of her time, and for that, she absolute-ly deserves recognition for her efforts! I appreciate it beyond words!

Todd Coleman Kansas City Todd has been awesome in his management of several very difficult projects over the last 6 months. Kauffman Charter School had multiple problems and a irate customer, Todd stepped in and he and his team corrected the outstanding issues and have now have a satisfied customer. Teva had a very com-pressed construction schedule and Todd has managed to juggle projects to accommodate the customer's demands. Todd has worked tirelessly and certainly deserves recognition for his efforts above and beyond the call of duty!

Brad Ware Kansas City Brad Ware is always working to keep the customer first. An example of this was on December 23rd KU MOB had an issue with units tripping out on freeze stats. Brad was asked to go to the facility and try to address the issue. This was late in the day and he willingly took the challenge. He worked on a difficult system (complex and temperamental) and was able to get them in a adequate place so they would main-tain temp in the building. The following day (Christmas Eve) he followed up with the owner and found they were still in need of another minor tweak. He selflessly went to the facility and made the tweaks needed to put them into a better position over the holiday. This type of willingness to go above and beyond for a customer is clearly what making this the "Best Place to Buy" is all about.

Rod Godfrey Oklahoma City Rod had a project where the LG VRF system was not operating to the customers’ expectations. This cus-tomer is a repeat purchaser of Trane controls and equipment and Rod took it upon himself to help find a solution to the customer’s complaints. It was determined that the LG system could not operate as the customer expected so Rod came up with a solution of integrating some Trane controls products with the LG system to produce the desired customer result. Rod and his team successfully implemented the pro-posed solutions and got them installed so that the customer was satisfied. Without Rod’s quick response and outside the box thinking to come up with a solution we had the potential to lose this customer.

Bradley Roberts Kansas City Bradley Roberts is deserving of the award because of his intangible work skills, professionalism, courtesy, attentiveness to detail, and his tangible work skills, primarily sales productivity. One of the criteria used to evaluate Parts Inside Sales employees is DIPE (Daily Invoices Per Employee). In one year, Bradley has more than doubled his DIPE score. In November 2013 Bradley’s DIPE score was 6.68. The previous No-vember his DIPE score was 3.09. In effect, he more than doubled his sales transactions in one year. An-other Parts Sales goal is to exceed an average of two line items per order. (The equivalent of “do you want fries with that? ”) Brad’s average lines per invoice is 2.1.

JR Long Kansas City JR Long is a home run hitter at the Kansas City Trane Parts. He has the skills, abilities, talent and desire to contribute to the success of Trane at a higher level. He has established a reputation in Kansas City as a “go to guy,” for me, his co-workers, and customers. His productivity is outstanding. One of the criteria used to evaluate Parts Inside Sales employees is DIPE (Daily Invoices Per Employee). JR’s DIPE score is 122% of the national average. In 2013, he conducted more parts transfers to Trane Service Techs than any other employee of the 7 stores in the District. He made 827 parts transfers. The next closest em-ployee had 625 transfers to Service. For the year, he will be just a shade under $1 million in gross sales. Through November his sales were $917,509, with a gross margin of $530,639. That is not too bad for 11 month’s work.

Josh Kemp Oklahoma City I'm nominating Mr. Kemp for this prestigious award due to his steadfast dedication to the Fort Sill team and his unwavering pursuit of perfection when it comes to his job. Mr. Kemp has performed at a high level of ability in our ever changing world of controls and easily adapts to new challenges. It is without hesitation that I hereby nominate Mr. Kemp for this well deserved recognition.

Chad Porter Springfield Chad has recently taken on the roll of project manager for the controls department in Springfield. In this roll he has all of the Springfield jobs which include the Bass Pro Wonders of Wildlife and all of the Joplin Schools. All projects are moving forward smoothly even though he is short one technician and spends a lot of his time in the field working performing technical labor. Most recently he has been given very high accolades by Connelly Mechanical for his work on the City Utilities Bus Barn.

Rob Wullenwaber Tulsa During Rob’s time project managing the Joplin Schools Projects the controls engineer that designed the drawings for Trane left the company. It was stated that the drawings for the high school were completed and ready to submit to the contractor. Rob took it upon himself (with his extensive knowledge of our controls system) to verify the drawings were complete and accurate. This was not an easy task as the drawing set was approaching 200 plus pages. After Rob’s review it was determined that the drawings were not complete and had many errors on them. Even though this work was outside his normal job scope, Rob stepped up spending many nights and weekends at the office re-engineering and revising the drawings to ensure they were correct. During this process Rob found many ways to combine controllers and use points so that material costs could be re-duced on the project. When completed Rob was able to reduce the number of pages in the massive drawing set and reduce material costs. By Rob stepping up and completing this engineering work it has helped ensure that the project is started out on the right path, is setup for success and that the customer receives a quality system by Trane.

Dan Ketelle Kansas City Dan was integral to the development of the controls portion of the Kansas City Public Schools PACT pro-ject definition. Dan did the necessary due diligence, worked with additional personnel from Territory, offered alternative approaches, and accommodated the several requests for scope pricing changes even though given a limited time from the development team and he did so with an outstanding attitude.

Chad Althouse Kansas City Chad was in charge of mechanical project scope development for the Kansas City Public Schools PACT project. Because of the large number of ECMs (energy conservation measures) to be defined and number of mechanical contractors to be coordinated that were assisting in pricing development, Chad had a huge task for one individual. In spite of the huge effort put in a couple years ago on the Kansas City Public School project that did not proceed, Chad was not discouraged and was a willing and key contributor as one of the team members in the current Kansas City Schools PACT project definition.

Leading Edge Award Nominees Recognizes an associate who communicates with authenticity to build trust and credibility, uphold IR’s values

and behaviors and maintains customer trust and confidence.

Jay Gifford Kansas City

Jay exemplifies so many of the things that we set forth in best practices as a company and it appears to carried over from his peronal life. "Service" ought to be his middle name when it comes to a Trane cus-tormer or his family. Jay will stay late or drop what he is doing to respond to a customer issue. His knowledge of Trane controls and the associated mechanical and electrical systems allows him to fix prob-lems quickly and effectively to the occupant's satisfaction. His devotion, pride in his work and willingness to help is greatly appreciated and invaluable in buidling trust with our customer and within the Trane team. Jay's capacity to respond is made even more amazing given the special needs of his daughter. You rarely hear a complaint from Jay and he seems to always have a positive and good natured attitude. He is a tre-mendous asset on our PACT projects and deserves to be recognized for his efforts.

Shane Dempsey Kansas City Shane has always gone above and beyond to ensure that ALL Associates find this the Best Place to work and customers find this to be the Best Place to Buy. When survey results come back showing a dissatisfied customer, Shane calls that customer immediately and follows up with both the customer and the project teams / leadership in the office to make sure that problems are resolved. He takes the survey results very personally and does everything in his power to make things right. He is also one of the first people in my office to talk about associate events and how we can improve office morale. Thank you, Shane, for caring so much and for always making the extra effort to make this the best company we can be!

Chad Remboldt Kansas City

Chad led the sales effort on the Kansas City Public School PACT project development. This effort is a non-traditional PACT project that has required input from about all facets of Trane’s capabilities – PACT, Con-trols, Equipment, Service, etc. Chad acted as a project manager, of sorts, in coordinating input from the multiple in-house personnel as well as Territory experts that assisted. Chad was the primary communica-tion link between the project development team and the customer’s multiple requests for additional infor-mation and changes. In spite of the challenges and multiple requests (with customer and internally) Chad kept his cool and focused on delivering the customer a project to meet their needs.

Corey Emmons Kansas City Corey has assisted the District and me personally by his leadership and management of the Omaha Service business, while maintaining his responsibilities and business leadership in Kansas City service business. His focus has assisted in changing the business process of our administrative team, supported the safety and efficiency of our technicians, and provided the Service business with a consistent leader in absence of a permanent Area Service Leader. Substantially improved in leadership skills and respect of team members.

Phillip Garten Kansas City

Phillip joined the team in July and has made an immediate impact with his willingness to do what is best for the team. By doing this he is leading by example and showing the team comes first. Phillip's primary re-sponsibility is as an Engineer. He has willingly engineered, technicianed and addressed field installation questions for multiple projects. His versatility and willingness to tackle whatever is put in front of him with a can-do attitude is what makes Phillip worthy of the Leading Edge Award!

Tracie Rossi Kansas City

Tracie Rossi spent the better part of December helping complete an inventory of the Kansas City Service Trucks. Tracie did an outstanding job. Over the years a number of problems had occurred in the Service Truck parts inventories, some going back to 2009. She spent a lot of time and effort resolving those prob-lems. Several of the problems were complicated and needed some extra elbow grease to resolve. She also worked as the sole Project Administrator for Service for the past few months. From what I have heard, she has been doing an outstanding job as the Service Project Administrator.

Melissa Ward Kansas City

Melissa Ward, Parts Outside Sales, contributes more to TMAD Parts than dollars and cents. She helps devel-op new customers and uncover opportunities. She learns and promotes new sales skills to increase our sales. Melissa works with Angie and others to develop new marketing promotions for the Parts Centers. She helps drive business to the Topeka, Kansas City and Lenexa Parts Centers. She organizes and promotes the tech-nical training seminars for customers at the KC Trane Parts Center. When the parts counters are over-whelmed with customers and phone calls, she steps up and helps answer phones and write orders. To help promote Trane Part’s internet initiative, She helps set up customer on Trane Parts website , www.Comfortsite.com. In the spring she helped with the open house at the new Lenexa Trane Parts Center.

Justin Floyd Springfield

CU-Prince Lane Chiller project. Chiller ordered with no control Design SPA and showed up as a standard con-trol chiller. Justin spent countless hours tracking down the correct wiring diagrams in order to get the chiller wired correctly and then spent more time helping me deal with the factory figuring out what actually hap-pened and identifying the parts needed to get the unit corrected. Thank you Justin!

Tim Crawley Oklahoma City

Tim embodies what the leading edge award represents. Tim builds strong bonds with the customers that he interacts with and maintains those relationships with the utmost integrity. The customer knows that the Job will be done correctly and efficiently when Tim is involved. Tim listens to the customers needs and goes out of his way to ensure that they are satisfied with the product and support that they receive.

Cathy Suffridge Oklahoma City

Cathy always goes above & beyond to make sure that the customer is taken care of. She really has stepped up in the absence of Rick & Edie.

Mark Pittenger Oklahoma City

Mark (controls engineer) was on a jobsite walk at Altus AFB when a customer called about a RTU that they couldn’t get running in heating. This building was on a timed shutdown and the contractor was running out of time and couldn’t figure out the problem. Although this piece of equipment was sold on a PT-3 job and Mark didn’t know anything about it, he quickly finished his jobsite walk and proceeded to go help this con-tractor. Mark braved the brutally cold weather (in the teens) to figure out what the customer was doing wrong and helped them resolve the issue. In the end Mark stepped up to help this customer of Trane’s and showed what “One Trane” movement is all about.

Steve Gilbert Tulsa/Oklahoma City

Steve has assisted the Oklahoma Service business, by his willingness to assist and support the Oklahoma City service business as well as the Tulsa service business. I believe Steve’s leadership is providing positive change for the technician and administrative staff as well as internal customer and external customers in Oklahoma City, while continuing to ensure the success of Tulsa.

One Trane Award Nominees Recognizes a team and/or project that displays teamwork through mutual and individual accountability.

Jenny Osipik, John Strange, Erin Richardson, Rod Godfrey District This team of leaders is always there to help. They push us to be the best. They motivate us to work hard and to be proud of our work. They encourage us to think for ourselves. They challenge us to find more efficient processes and procedures. They strive to make this a place in which we are proud to work. They promote and contribute to the winning culture of our district. We thank them for everything they do. This nomination is from all of the Contracting Department.

TRANE Technicians District To the technicians that brave the elements everyday to provide for our customers, just a work of thanks. There are always obsti-cles and challenges with our job but just wanted to thank you all for keeping a good attitude and for providing great service to our customers.

Jonathan Smith and Justin Love Oklahoma City These two men were recently assigned the task of addressing a long standing job at Lone Grove School system with several prob-lems. Both men took on this responsibility and accomplished the task set before them. Not only did they correct the problems with the units and controls, but they addressed the customers needs by taking time to listen to his problems and made him feel that we were truly concerned and wanted to take care of them as a customer. This message was from the superintendent of schools... The workers that came down from Trane were the best we've seen. They seem genuinely committed to service and solving the problem. They were here the entire week and yes they have us set up to control the system remotely and via app from our phones. These two men display the true value of teamwork, have the best interest of the customer and Trane. They go beyond their job description to take care of their responsibilities and job duties.

Tim Martin, Dennis Yancey, Mike Hampton, Jeff Montgomery, Bryson Trowbridge District Joplin Rental Project Team: This project has been a great team effort to support the rental project at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Dennis Yancey certainly de-serves a tremendous amount of recognition for his work to close and work diligently to make this a success. Jeff and Bryson have been moving rental equipment to and from the job between the cooling and heating projects. Mike has ordered parts and rental equipment in for the project and Tim Martin has worked on site when equipment or customer issues have arose. Great job team!

Cathy Suffridge Oklahoma City CATHY SUFFRIDGE HAS BEEN WORKING BY HER SELF FOR SEVERAL WEEKS SINCE EDIE HAS BEEN OUT FOR SURGERY. SHE HAS GOT-TEN HERE EARLY EVERY MORNING, LEAVING LATE AT NIGHT. STILL MANAGING TO KEEP HER HEAD ABOVE WATER AND STILL HELP THOSE THAT NEED IT.

David Mann Oklahoma City I have recently moved into a new position as a controls engineer. In the transition David has constantly been a source of knowledge and help. He has put me under his wing and shown me the ropes at the expense of his own time. He has been kind and patient with me as I learn my new role. Without David’s teamwork and dedication to making sure the jobs are engineered correct-ly while I learn, the technicians and the team as a whole would suffer. David has been the definition of One Trane to me.

Matt Clinkenbeard, Ethan Keller, Brad Ware, James Gifford and Kurt Twiehause Kansas City These gentlmen have worked on numerous projects in one day and long hours to accomplish our projects. Each has sacraficed time from family, spent hours assisting in driving the overall completion of projects and being the face of TRANE to many customers. Clearly they are what our customers see as TRANE and they work together to be One Trane everyday.

Rick Prockish, Glen Christensen, Lee Curtis Kansas City Rick, Lee & Glen are bar none the best problem-solvers. They are the face of Trane here in the Topeka region. Countless times they go above & beyond to make sure that the end customers are served well when the need arises. Excellent examples of this are Great Overland Station, Washburn University & Washburn Tech., Packerware (long weekends per-forming maintenance), "splitting" chillers for helicopter lifts (Goodyear) & to be able to fit within weight & size restrictions on new equipment installs (Washburn University again). These gentlemen show our customers the best practices of Trane Service in taking care of their buildings & systems, and they are to be commended.

Nathan Whitney, Craig Grosser, Brad VanArsdale, Chad Althouse, Jay Gifford, Kurt Twiehaus, Jeff Sher, Mike Mahoney, Jesse Pugh, Angie Gensler Kansas City Trane's Washburn Team continues to plan for and deliver the exceptional results that generate recognition, collaboration, trust, and praise from key stakeholders at Washburn University, KBOR, and KSDE. This has included:

- Unsolicited praise from the VP of Finance/Treasurer that "we love Trane" and statements from the Facility Director about his need and plans for Trane to help develop and raise the professional acumen and performance of his Facility Department staff.

- Ongoing collaboration with and advocacy for Trane from the Dean of Washburn Tech shared with key education sector stakehold-ers at statewide conferences plus while hosting lab tours for education leaders from NE, OK, MO, and across the nation.

- Commitment from all three of these key Washburn stakeholders to co-present with Trane at the national APPA conference in San Diego next July.

- Inclusion in Washburn University Foundation's capital campaign reception video presentation

- Collaboration and co-presentation with leaders at KBOR and KSDE at statewide conferences and boot camps.

These are just a few of the many examples that demonstrate how much trust and respect has been developed during the Wash-burn University project to date.

Rod Godfrey, Shane Pennington, Doug Izer, Andy Donehue Oklahoma City Altus AFB needed help in writing a controls spec to use moving forward on projects. This team of individuals spent many hours and days helping to put together a spec that is written around Bacnet and Trane Controls. This work was outside of these individuals normal job scopes but they did not let that stop them. They then took this spec to Altus and convinced them that it is better to use Bacnet and Trane controls vs. LON. Altus intends on incorporating this into their master specs and using this spec on all future pro-jects. This will help Trane enormously in securing future work on base. Trane has already won one project because of the hard work of this team!
