Seventh grade students in Texas History shared cultural dishes like

Irish Soda Bread and Mexican Sopapilla Dessert and then shared

how these immigrant groups impacted the development of Texas.

Everyone is invited to an All-School Pep Rally to cheer on the Sherman Shooting Stars and our TCS Lady Eagles tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the TCS gym. #shineon

It is Re-Enrollment Time! Please remember to take a moment and re-enroll your

child(ren) on or before February 28th. This will insure your

student a classroom spot and allow you to take advantage of

the minimal tuition increase available for returning students.

A new tuition rate schedule will go into effect on March 1st

for new students and those returning students who do not fully

enroll by the 28th. For details in this regard, please do not

hesitate to contact Debbie Walston. She can be reached at

TCS Hands-on FAFSA Workshop for Senior Parents

Location: Upper School Computer Lab (Room 102)

Parents come and start this important document for your senior or just come with

your questions for our expert. This event will be led by Jennifer Sneed, Financial

Aid officer from Austin College.

Fifth Grade girls have a hula hoop contest during their P.E. free play last Friday.

Alumni News! Reece McConnell (Class of 2011) has made the Dean’s List with Honors (GPA 3.5 or higher) the last two semesters—Spring 2014 and Fall 2014 at East Texas Baptist University. Congratulations!

Shelby Galyon

Shelby Dawn Galyon has been a student at Texoma Christian School

for the past nine years. While at TCS, she been a part of the basketball, soft-

ball, cross country and track teams. She is also a member of National Hon-

or Society, Student Council, Sisters in Service and the Photography and Art

Club. Outside of her days at TCS, Shelby enjoys shopping, spending time

with friends, and watching “She’s the Man” and “Mean Girls”.

Shelby’s favorite memory at TCS was going to Washington D.C. with her

class, and she explained that TCS has prepared her to face the world as a

young God-fearing woman.

When asked what role her family has played in her life, Shelby said, “My

family has helped me become independent and responsible.”

Following high school, Shelby plans to attend Texas A & M and become a

veterinarian.

Shelby’s advice to future high school seniors is, “Enjoy every minute of

high school! Never stop laughing and smiling, pity parties are pointless.

Oh, and always wear pink on Wednesday ‘that was one time!’”
