Fittings measures and types

The DASH classification (eg -06) replaced the measures for the AN (Army-Navy specifications) series.The DASH value currently in use do not indicate a specific measure but only a classification.For example, a -06 fitting has a 9/16-18 UNF thread and can be used with a -06 hose. The table below indicate the UNF measures compatible with the corresponding AN/Dash categories, and NPT and BSP specifications.

Mounting instructions

1 - Remove the socket

2 - Place the socket on the hose with a twisting motion, ensure that the outer braid is fully installed

3 - Tighten the fitting on aluminum or Teflon jaws and lubricate the thread

4 - Hand tighten the socket on the thread and tighten with the wrench

5 - When the socket reaches the bottom of the thread, tighten with 2 more turns

Hoses600600 Series Hose -02 To -04 for Brake and Clutch. High speed, constant rapid gear changes and heavy braking put great strains on competition hydraulic systems, where failure can be disastrous. 600 series hose strongly resists expansion under high pressure and temperature, provides consistent brake and clutch pedal pressure giving firmer and more efficient operation without that spongy feeling. Offering protection against abrasion and fire, these hoses are also recommended for all pressure gauge lines and fire extinguisher systems. Use dash size 3 for most braking systems and dash size 3 or 4 for clutch systems. Dash 2 hose is the smallest brake hose available. Its microbore construction can give increased line pressure and more responsive and sensitive brake feel. Excellent for all 4 and 2 wheel braking applications whether for the circuit or road.

Exclusive Goodridge 700-Series Aramid Fibre Braided Hose is the world's lightest flexible fluid tran-sfer conduit for small bore applications in general racing environments. Its strength and flexibility parallels that of our 600 Series Hose resisting expansion under high pressure and temperature, offering a consistent, firm and highly efficient feel. There is a range of Aramid Fibre Hose from -02 to -04. These hoses are recommended for pressure gauge lines, fuel injection lines, fire extinguisher systems, nitrous systems, brake and clutch lines and hydraulic wing lines. When used in -02 with titanium fittings, the ultimate in weight saving, performance and reliability can be achieved. 700 Series Hose is designed for use with permanently attached swage style hose ends.

1 - Cut the hose to length with a fine tooth tool or a circular blade.

2 - Disassemble the fitting in three parts on a clean surface

3 - Put the two elements on the hose

4 - Dilate the end of the inner hose made of PTFE with a Goodridge calibrated punch

5 - Insert the internal olive pressing on a flat, clean surface

6 - Lubricate and tighten

7 - Tighten up to 1 turn from the bottom of the thread

200Goodridge 200 Series hose is the premier stainless steel braided nitrile hose. 200 Hose is designed for use with a wide range of re-usable alumi-nium hose ends and provides essential protection and resistance to high pressure, temperature, vibration, fire risks and chafing. It is constructed of a seamless synthetic CPE inner with an integral stainless steel braid and a high tensile stainless steel outer braid. 200 Series hose as the 210 series is a new development, based on the conventional 200 series stainless steel braided Nitrile hose, widely used in all forms of racing. The 210 series has a lightweight fibre braid, with high abrasion resistance, and is ideal for breather hoses, or oil and water circuits. It can be used with all synthetic lubricants, fuels, oils, coolants and alcohols including methanol and nitromethane. This hose is perfectly manufactured for efficient and reliable use with 1136, 236 and 336 Series Hose Ends. The traditional racing hose.

1 - Apply a round of painter tape and cut the hose to length with a fine tooth tool or a circular blade. Thoroughly clean impurities from the inside. 2 - Disassemble the fitting into 2 parts on a clean surface. Tighten the socket on aluminum or Teflon jaws and insert the hose with a twisting motion until it reaches the threaded portion.

3 - Tighten the fitting on aluminum or Teflon jaws, lubricate the thread. Hand tighten the socket and the hose on the fitting. 4 - Tighten with the wrench up to 1 turn from the bottom of the thread
