1.4 System Architecture

As the picture above depicts-

The system will be accessed in 2 different ways-

1. Locally via LAN (Local Area Network) 2. Remotely via internet

The system will consist of below software resources-

1. Oracle database – to store data of the entire application 2. Software files – to keep all the executables (forms, reports, icons, backup

scripts, backup files, etc.) 3. OC4J – Oracle Connectivity for JAVA will process all session management

tasks and requests coming from JRE while accessing the system from remote/internet

4. Forms Server – to manage forms call of the application coming from clients/terminals while accessing locally (LAN)

5. Reports Server – to manage reports call of the application coming from clients/terminals while accessing locally (LAN)

6. Attendance broker – pull attendance data into database 7. SMS & E-mail broker – send SMS and E-mail on scheduled time
