With great food, wine and hospitality, The Old Swan is the perfect hideaway to celebrate Christmas with friends and family.
Christmas Eve - Arrive at the Hotel from 2pm and settle into your room. We will be serving afternoon tea in our lounges to be taken at leisure between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.
Take the opportunity to explore the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, and meander through the Valley Gardens or The Stray, just a short stroll from the hotel. For some last minute shopping, Harrogate boasts a fine selection of shops and boutiques.
In the evening, the Management Team will officially welcome you at a drinks reception at 5pm followed by an informal carol service performed by the Christ Church Choir at 6pm. Dinner will be served in our Wedgwood dining room accompanied by piano music.
There are Midnight Mass services in many local churches and we will be on hand to warm you up on your return with mince pies and hot toddies.
Christmas Day - Has Santa been? Open your door to find a gift then join your fellow guests for Christmas Day breakfast which is served with a glass of Bucks Fizz.
Breakfast will be served between 8am and 10am to give you enough time to open your presents or to take a morning stroll to work up an appetite for your Christmas Day lunch, which will be served at 12pm and 2.00pm, and accompanied by our resident pianist.
The afternoon is for relaxing, watching the Queen’s Speech and enjoying Christmas cake and Wensleydale cheese in our lounges from 3pm.
Christmas Day evening is an informal affair with a light buffet supper served between 7pm and 9pm with entertainment at the ‘Old Swan Derby’ race night.
Boxing Day - Join your fellow guests for our Boxing Day brunch served between 8am and 11am before heading out. Enjoy a festive pantomime at Harrogate Theatre or head to the Boxing Day sales.
For a more leisurely afternoon, explore the fantastic North Yorkshire Countryside. We’ll be holding a farewell dinner dance with live entertainment in one of our magnificent dining rooms on Boxing Day evening.
Sunday, 27th December Breakfast will be served between 8am and 10am after which we will say bon voyage! For those of you who would like to make the most of Harrogate and spend the day exploring the town, we will happily take care of your luggage until you are ready to set off home.
