I would like to thank
Chuck House and all the
volunteers who support-
ed this year’s Annual Fishing
Derby. They all did a great
job. Unfortunately due to bad
weather we had to hold it in
the hall, yet we did get some
fishing in! Additionally, I
would like to thank Larry
Bowden for getting an Elks
National Foundation Grant
so each child could receive a
backpack water bottle for the
event.
I would like to thank Hugh
Meadows, John Draghi, and
Bill Gasparini for cooking the
“Father’s Day” lunch. Addi-
tionally, thanks go out to
Tom Harkins and Dave Pou-
lin for preparing the potato
salad the day before.
I would like to thank the
Range Committee, hot dogs
and hamburgers to the NSSA
Skirmish held the weekend of
June 24th and 25th. Addition-
ally to the Ground Commit-
tee for mowing the lawn on
such short notice for the
event.
Recently during the Annual
State Convention held earlier
in the month of June, we re-
ceived first place for member-
ship growth. Thank you to all
the members who had spon-
sored a candidate so we could
receive this award! Also,
thanks go out to all the mem-
bers who attended the award
ceremony, along with partici-
pating during the convention.
On July 22nd, we’ll be run-
ning the 4th Annual Steak
and Lobster dinner. Tickets
are available at the bar, and
the prices will be $25 for a
steak, or lobster, and $35 for
both a steak and lobster. Un-
fortunately the committee has
decided this year to not have
a band, but is interested in
seeking the services of a DJ.
