Michael Sukkar has been appointed as the Housing Affordability Minister to assist the Treasurer in making Housing more affordable. Her acheivements included a highly successful reputational change strategy for the Brewers Association of Australia and New Zealand at a national and international level. For more than a decade, Denita led industrial relations policy and advocacy for major industries such as General Manager Workplace & Corporate Relations at the National Farmers Federation (NFF) and as National Manager Workplace Relations at the Australian Hotels Associations (AHA). ROBERT SHAW // CHAIRMAN - NATIONAL RESIDENTIAL BUILDERS COUNCIL Robert joined the National Board in 2015 and is Chair of the National Residential Builders Council. He is a former President of Master Builders Western Australia where he also chaired the Housing Council for seven years. Robert has more than 37 years experience in the building and construction industry and is a director of Daly and Shaw Pty Ltd which specialises in residential unit development and homes, currently building between 100 and 150 dwellings per year. He is also an owner and director of Daly and Shaw Building Pty Ltd, Western Ladders Pty Ltd, Western Timbers Pty Ltd, Heritage Pioneer Developments and WA Renovations Pty Ltd. KELVIN RYAN // CEO - BGC RESIDENTIAL Kelvin is the CEO of BGC Residential, a group of 16 companies including builders and subsidiaries. He has more than 20 years experience in mining, heavy manufacturing and construction. Kelvin began his career as a Physical Education teacher before moving into the mining industry originally as Training and Development Manager with Mt Isa Mines in Queensland before moving into line management roles and eventually general management and director positions with Fletcher Challenge, WMC Resources, Boral, and Downer EDI. He has worked across Australia, New Zealand and Canada and has a Bachelor of Education and a Masters degree in Technology Management from Griffith University in Queensland.
