Chaplain’sMessage

SHALOM!PEACE BEWITH YOU!

Do we readThe HolyBible every day? It is theWord of God and containsGod’s Commands and thePlan of Salvation. We learnabout the Power of God inthe Old Testament, and aboutthe Love of God in the NewTestament. More copies ofthe Bible have been sold orgiven away then any otherbook in history. It has beentranslated into more than1,200 languages. To many people, it is the mostimportant Book in theWorld!

John Adams said, “TheBible is the best Book in theWorld.”Abraham Lincolnsaid, “The Bible is the bestgift God has given to men . .[b]ut for it, we could notknow right from wrong.” Noah Webster said, “Allthe miseries and evils whichmen suffer from, vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppres-sion, slavery, and warproceed from them despisingor neglecting the preceptscontained in the Bible.” Andfrom Harry Truman: “Thefundamental basis of thisNation’s law was given toMoses on the Mount. TheFundamental basis of ourBill of Rights comes fromExodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul. Idon’t think we emphasizethat enough these days.”And even more recently,Ronald Reagan said, “Ofthe many influences thathave shaped the UnitedStates of America into adistinct Nation and people,

none may be said to be morefundamental and enduring than theBible.”

Read the Bible! It is good for theSoul!

May I express my humble thanks forall your kind, generous, and lovingPrayers for me during my presenthealth issues! Have a blessed andhappy Thanksgiving. God bless you all!
