How Baseball Started
No one knows how baseball started , but we do know that it started with a game called rounder's, which started in England and is basically the same as baseball.

The original rules for baseball were created by a man named Alexander Cartwright in 1845. Most of the original rules are still used today.

The very first recorded baseball game was in 1846. It was played at Hoboken, New Jersey and the teams that played were the Knickerbocker Base Ball Club of New York City lost to the New York baseball club.
Back then the players weren’t supposed to be paid but some players were secretly paid to play on his/her team. This was basically cheating.

In 1869 The Cincinnati Red Stockings began paying the best players to play on their team so they ended up being undefeated. Word got out and everyone started paying their players.
That is how baseball became what it is today because of the Cincinnati Red Stockings paying their players.
