HOW CAN I GET SERVICES? If you are a former Foster Youth with a closed case
Contact your ILP Probation Officer or a transition resource center.
Complete an intake assessment with your ILP Probation Officer.
Make sure you keep a copy of your assessment and planning documents.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Probation foster youth who were in suitable placement the ages of 16 and 21 years old are eligible for services.
Probation foster youth who were dependents in the child welfare system after age 16.
Probation foster youth who were in Suitable Placement between the ages 16-18 and who were placed with a relative (receiving relative funding).

Program is designed to prepare youth, in out-of-home placement, for successful lives as adults.

Youth Development Services (YDS) provides services and resources for foster youth, previously or currently placed in a Short-Term Residential Treatment Center (formerly Group Home)
at the age of 16 or older. YDS can help you successfully transition from dependency to self-sufficiency.
