How Do We Relate?
Relationships
• Many organisms have developed a close relationship with other organisms of different species.
• These close relationships are called symbiosis
• In symbiosis, one or both of the organisms can benefit form the interaction
Symbiosis
• There are three types of symbiosis:–Commensalism–Mutualism–Parasitism
Commensalism
• The relationship between two different species where one species benefits but the other is not affected.
Mutualism
• The relationship between two different species where both organisms benefit.
Parasitism
• The relationship between two different species where one organism benefits, and the other is harmed.
