How I made my Initial Photoshop/ Flat plan work

Here I started with an A4 Sized background in dark purple.

I then added my chosen masthead to the background.

I then decided to change the background colour to grey. I also added the photo I found (from Google) to the magazine and cut out the background.

Here I decided to start putting some text on the front cover. This is the main cover line that goes with the image. I used white text and then used the rectangle tool to create a black box underneath the text. I gave this box a slight slant so it looks more edgy.

Here I added a purple box at the bottom that would include some cover lines.

Here I used free transform to make the image fit the page.

Here I decided to make the bottom box darker and add a barcode.

I then added some cover lines in the bottom box as other features in the magazine.

I then added a pull quote to the front cover. I used the same effect of white on black.

Here I had darkened the image of the band with curves to give a less pale appearance.

Finally I added a selling line underneath the masthead. This is in white text so it stands out over the dark background.
