Astrology in old India .occupied prime place in the heartsof the people in the land as the only science of humanunderstanding. They had reached dizzy heights in this subject asrecords reveal. They had a complete understanding of theessence of time in relation to the individual and the universearound him and built up a predictive method of uncannyaccuracy which was passed on, from age lo age, by guru-sishyaparamount by word of mouth. 6itself is only the outcome of the act of impregnation ft must beborne in mind, however, that the root cause of birth is notphysical heredity alone as may be wrongly supposed Were it so,really speaking, why are all persons not being able to safisfac-torily account for wide differences between children born of thesame parentage ? And if the heredity factor is exaggerated outof all proportion, it holds good only for the present life and notfor future births in every case. As the discoveries of modernscience have themselves testified, the cosmic rays from thedistant stars and planetary bodies apparently affect heredity tooeven creating new species.

Conception being the generation of human seed of whichthe birth is the finished product, astrology has always heldstrongly to the belief in the existence of an inter-relationshipbetween the former and the latter, provided by the interchangeof the places of the ascendant at epoch and the Moon at birth and,likewise, of the Moon at epoch and the Ascendant at birth. Thiswill throw many possibilities, as to what connection the Moonat birth (corresponding lo the log no point at epoch) bas with themother's birth chart, for instance whether her chart points a clueto the Moon longitude of the child and many such factors. What struck me immediately after the map was made byme was that before the end of Saturn bhakti in the Moon'smahadasa the family of this child must acquire a ready builthouse . To th is pred fiction , the Bra fond the r of the childcommented that there was no such idea in their mind at all asthey already have a house in their possession. What howeverhappened was that they purchased a house, as exactly predictedby me, in January 1985 when the dasa was of the Moon, thebhakti of Saturn and thorny of Jupiter was in force and thankedme for my outstanding prediction.

The 4th was co-ruled by theMoon, Hahn and Saturn and the l2th was presided over by theMoon, Jupiter and the Moon again as the nakshatra, sub and interlords in that order. Expenditure shown by the l2th, in the finalanalysis, comes only through the planet posited in the nakshatraof Saturn in 12. Jupiter is the only planet stationed in thenakshatra of Saturn, lord of 4 in 12 It is almost an axiom inKRISHNAMURTI PADHDHATI that the so called due athanas6, 8 and 12, even when tenanted by so called malefic s, are notunable to offer desirable results if posited in the naksbatra, sub,inter etc. of planets beneficial to the chart under consideration.Saturn is in 12 but in Venus sign, Hahn's nakshatra, and Jupiter'ssub and inter divisions. Venus is in the both, Hahn is an agent ofVenus by being placed in Venus' sign all alone in Mars'nakshatra`, and Jupiter is powerful by standing near the 2ndhouse. In KRISHNAMURTI PADHDHATI scheme, a planet inthe nakshatra of another is stronger than the latter to affect thefarmer's house affairs. So, Jupiter was stronger than Saturn, lordof 4 in 12.

KRISHNAMURTI PADHDHATI is clearcut in itsprecepts and practices. How can it afford to fail by followingtrue principles ?

Inaccordance with the principle which lays down that the bhavewhich stands in twelfth (viceroy) to any bhave tends lo destructthe affairs falling within the latter's purview, the Sth and 9thhouses which become the twelfth reckoned from the 6th and the10th would seem to show changes in conditions of service suchas transfers,>pells of absence from the work place and so on. Ifthe 3rd house, which is the twelfth to the 4th representing oneshome or residence, is also involved, it may necessitate changeof residence and change of place along with transfer to a newsurrounding.

Applying these principles to the horoscope illustrated, thevarious significant arc :

2nd House : Saturn governs this mansion, and Mercury issituated in one of Saturn's nakshatras. Reta andVenus are stationed here with no planets in any oftheir nakshatras. Jupiter from the 10th aspects the2nd house as well as Reta and Venus there.

6th House : There is no planet found here. Its lord is Mercuryin whose constellation Sun is placed. Jupiter from

the both and Saturn.from the 9th aspects the 6thhouse.

10th House : The tenth. is occupied by Jupiter and owned byVenus. Jupiter and Reta are ,in Jupiter'snakshatras, with no planets in Venus nakshatras.

, Of.course, Kern is conjoined with Venus.5th House ` : This Segment is under the governance of Venus.

There are no planets in this part and no one inVenus' constellations.

9th House : Saturn occupies this house which is owned byMercury. Moon is also in the 9th. Mercury is seenin Saturn's nakshatra and Sun in Mercury's. Kahnis Sun's agent being in Simha all alone, and alsoin Sun`s star. Sun also occupies the 3rd Kahn alsoreceives aspect from lord of 5, Venus, so that Kahnis a strong significant of the 9th as well as the 5th.

3rd House : ,Sun and Mercury tenant this mansion. Kahn is inSun's star and Sun itself in Mercury's. Jupiterwhooccupies this is also its owner, and Reta is. inJupiter's star and is also aspected by Jupiter.

The native took up employment for the first time when thedasa of Jupiter, bhakti of Rein and anthro of Jupiter was running.On the day of entry into service - 12-6-1947, Thursday ruled byJupiter dasa and anthro lord, the Moon was transiting the 2ndhouse in Jupiter's star in conjunction with Reta, bhakti lord andin trios (120 degree) to the radical position of Jupiter. At birth, both Jupiter and Reta-were in harmonious trine.aspect and by transit also Jupiter formed the same aspect to Reta.Bhukti lord, Reta, transited the 10th house in the constellationof lord of 2, Saturn, and sub of lord of 10, Venus.

On 2-8-1948, a day ruled by the Moon, the person wastransferred on promotion. He was then undergoing Jupiter dasa,Venus bhakti and Moon anthro. Jupiter and Venus are occupantand owner respectively of the both house. Moon is associated withJupiter in the same sign and is in close trine aspect with Venus,lord of 10, and the cusps of the 6th house and the 2nd house.Besides, the Moon tenants the nakshatra of Kahn (Star lord ofhouses 2, 6 and 10. Venus, bhakti lord, is also placed in Kahn'snakshatra. Moon is the asterism lord of house 5 and 9 and is alsoa significant of the 9th by occupation. So, Moon's anthro sawthe transfer of the person along with the promotion involving risein emoluments and status. By .transit, the dasa lord Jupiter wasretrograding in the 11th house in the star of Mercury, lord of 6,and Jupiter's sub. Bhukti lord as well as lord of the both, Venus,transited in Kahn's star trine to its natal position and Moon's.Bhukti lord was also in conjunction with anthro lord. The Suntransited the sign of anthro lord, Moon, the star of lord of .2,Saturn and sub of Jupiter.

On 10-7-1960, when the gentleman was running theconjoint period of Saturn, Mercury and Kahn, he was promotedfor a second time. The dasa lord, Saturn, owned the 2nd and wasplaced in the constellation of Mars, lord of 11, at birth. The

bhakti lord, Mercury, ruled the 6th and was stationed in theconstellation of lord of the 2nd and the dasa, Saturn.Again, bothSaturn and Mercury were in the sub of anthro lord, Kahn, at birth.ft must be emphasized here that Kahn was the constellation rulerof the cusps of the 2nd, 6th and both at birth and by dint of thisconnection Kahn becomes a powerful significant of houses 2, 6and IO.

By transit the dasalord, Saturn, was in the constellationof the 10th lord, Venus and the sub of Jupiter, an occupant of theboth. Transiting Saturn was in trine aspect to the transit positionof Mars, lord of 11, and within the orb of trine to the radicalBaku's position. The bhakti lord, Mercury, was transitingthrough the 6th in the dasa lord's constellation The anthro lord,Kahn, was conjunct his natal position by transit, wherefrom itwas within the orb of trine to transiting Saturn as well astransiting Mars, lord of the Ilth at birth. In this case again, as atthe time of entering into service, the Sun is in evil as 9" ,o thedasa lord, Saturn. At the same time the Sun is also sex tile, abeneficial aspect, to Kahn, anthro lord The subject of aspects isinteresting and has eluded many lending astrologers. Some holdthat the square and opposition are evil, others hold that it is notso much the quality of the aspect the produces influences,favourable or otherwise as the sign from which and the planet bywhich, the aspect is made. tn practical horoscope, f have foundthat the square, quincunx and opposition are by no meansunfavourable, and also that strong aspects (alt multiples of 30degree) are exciting influences. In the present cases the Suntransits in the 6th, a connected house, in the star of Jupiteroccupying the 10th and in the sub of Mercury, lord of the 6th, inconjunction with the ,10 lord. I had already indicated to my friend somewhere in 1987 that bismarital life will not be a bed of roses.

that the birth time of my friend is wrong. It is not enough if thechart is erected strictly according KP., but the correctness of thechart should be verified with the help of sub lords of the variouscD],:S, which are the unfailing indices of the fate. The log no sub

lord should be collected with the Janma Rasi and JanrnaNakshatra lord, by conjunction, aspect stellar position or evenby significant western angular aspects like trine, sex tile, arias reetc. Thus the Janma Nakshatras of all blood relatives will Wilywhen analysed in this manner with the sub lords. Similarly the7th cusp sub lord clearly indicates the Janma nakshatra Lord andRut lord and sometimes the log no Lord of the partner. ThoughI use the method of Ruling Planets to correct the birth time ofthe person at the time of casting the chart, as the beginners inK.P. think it is not an easy job to fix the log no and other cuspswith Ruling Planets alone. After checking the ruling planets ofthe close relatives, the life events, disease of the native or hisparents, etc., should also be checked with the help of sub lords.In such an analysis, log no sub lord may prove couect but the 7thOup may not respond to the Janma Nakshatra of the partner andin such cases, the birth times should be rectified and adjusted totally. If the right sub lord on the relevant cusp is not caught thenthe predictions will be off the mark. A person was predicted byme while analysing his chart that his recently born child wouldbe having some deformity and be admitted it and narrated thatthe child's right hand had only two fingers and also kt fell shortof the normal length. Inpractice, this A/M log no offers brilliant results which are notvisible in the usual analysis. In this chart Lagos in the revisedchart is 3550 10` 52" and both Cusp is at 2450 31' 38". Addingthe two, we get 6000 42' 30". Halving this amount, we get theA/Ml Lagna at 3000 21' 15" or to 22` Rumba. Now we cananalyse the 5harc. If this is to be analysed in K.P., then the cuspsof the other houses should be found out for the Lassa to 22..Otherwise mere star positions of planets will indicate the eventsto a good extent. See as per this analysis that the Lassa LordSaturn is in 9 in exaltation in the star of Kahn in 11. 16th LordMars in a watery sign in his own sign in dorsal dignity.According to this analysis, 7th lord Sun is in 12 with Venus, lordof 4 and 9. Venus is from Sun by 20 26' only, and thus hercombustion at the hands Sun is really effective. Though it is saidthat Venus and Saturn do not lose their powers on account ofcombustion, I find in practical experience that the karakatwa andthe matters denoted by Venus suffer to some extent. In analysing thechart with ^/Ml Lagos, only the traditional rules should beapplied as mentioned by Maharishi Parasara. But analysisthrough Placidian or Topocentric method of House Division withA/Ml. log no should be given a fair trial - extensively to cometo definite conclusions.

In the methods of Herr Ebertin, he used only log no andthe 10th Cusp (Meridian) and no other houses were recognised.He recognised multiples of 45' aspects as having great powers

For analysis, I took the sub lord of the VI cusp. It wasMercury. Mercury was retrograde which disappointed me at first

instance, but since it was quick moving of small planet thatfrequendy became direct within 16 days, I proceeded Mercurywas lord of VItb the house of loans. Mercury was in the star ofVenus. Venus gave results of 7,4,9 firstly, and being in Rein starwho conjoined with Jupiter, it also gave results of houses 6(position) 2, 11 and 12 (cusp lordship) and 3, 6, 11 (cusp star!lordship.)

Required bosses 2, 6 and II were signified, hut as per K.P.sub decided Mercury was in Saturn's sub where Saturn as lordof 1 and as star lord of 2 and 10 was tenanted in 12. Mercury is not only the occupant of the ll th house butalso the lord of 2nd and 11th houses and posited in the sub ofKahn who is occupant of 7th house. Thus Mercury is thestrongest significant. So marriage is promised.
