1 Scenario
You have developed Web Templates using the Web Application Designer. Now you want
to offer these Web Templates to your end users via the Enterprise Portal. This How-toguide describes how to add these Web Templates to your Enterprise Portal Content.
2 Introduction
The solution presented here is based on SAP NetWeaver 2004s. The How-to guidedescribes only the steps that are necessary, if you create the BI iViews directly in theEnterprise Portal. You could also publish the Web Templates from the Web ApplicationDesigner as iViews into the Portal Content directory.

3 The Step By Step Solution

As the first step you have tonavigate to the right Portal Contentfolder, where you want to add the BIreport as Portal iView.
Then you have to create a newiView using the context menu: New iView

Now you see the iView Wizard. Inthe first step you have to chooseiView template create an iViewfrom an existing iView template assource type.
In the next step you have to choosethe iView template BEx WebApplication iView.

Then you have to provide an ID(technical name of the PortalContent iView), a description, theiView ID Prefix and the masterlanguage of the iView.
Then you have to choose theversion of the BEx Web Application.If you created the Web Templateusing the Web Application Designerbased on SAP BW 2.x/3.x, you haveto choose the appropriate option. Ifyou have created the Web Templateusing the new Web ApplicationDesigner based on SAP NetWeaver
2004s, you have to choose theoption SAP NetWeaver BI 7.x

In the next step you have to type in aprefix (depending on the version ofthe BEx Web Application) and thetechnical name of the WebTemplate. If you have used the SAP
BW 2.x/3.x Web ApplicationDesigner version you have to usethe prefix TEMPLATE_ID=. If youhave used the Web ApplicationDesigner based on SAP NetWeaverBI 7.x, you have to use the prefixTEMPLATE= (e.g.TEMPLATE=MYTEMPLATE_ID).
In the last wizard step you can checkyour entries, you have made before.You can also set the flag Open forediting, when wizard completes.Then you can directly work on the BIiView to do some furtheradjustments.

After pressing the Finish-button inthe iView wizard the iView propertiesshow up. There you can select theproperty category Appearance Size. For the property Height Type
you should select Automatic inorder to avoid scroll bars on theportal page later on. Save yoursettings and close your BI iView
In the next step you want to addyour newly created BI iView to apage. Therefore you have to firstnavigate to the page you want toadd the new iView (or you cancreate a new page). Then you haveto open the page via the contextmenu Open Object

To add the iView to the page youhave to navigate again to the newlycreated iView. Via context menu youcan add now the iView to the page:Right-mouse click on the iView
Add iView to page Deltalink.Afterwards you save the page.
Finally you can do a preview to havea look at your new BI iView that isintegrated into the portal page.Depending on the result you canadjust the page layout.
As a result you will see the BI iView
on your portal page.

4 Appendix
1. Before you can create a BI iView inthe Enterprise Portal, the systemconnection and the alias of the BIsystem has to be defined. This canbe done in the System Administrationof the Portal System Configuration System Landscape
2. Also the user mapping to the BIsystem has to be maintained (inorder to use single-sign on). This canbe done in the user administrationIdentity Management
