1. Loging as faadmin or equivalent role. User should have BI Admin role to create folder to save the data model. 2. Go to Report And Analytics UI and click on Create -> Report. 3. Cancel the window which state that “Select Data Model”. In this case we are going to create new Data Model. So if you know existing data model then go with this step. 4. Click on Create new Data Model.

1. Loging as faadmin or equivalent role. User should have BI Admin role to create folder to save the data model.

2. Go to Report And Analytics UI and click on Create -> Report.

3. Cancel the window which state that Select Data Model. In this case we are going to create new Data Model. So if you know existing data model then go with this step.

4. Click on Create new Data Model.

5. Enter description and choose default data source as ApplicationDB_HCM

6. Click on Data Sets from left panel and then click on Create Icon. Choose SQL Query.

7. Create Data set based on simple query. You can able to create parameter from here.I have created one here called no_of_rows. ( here write the SQL query that you wanted to execute )

8. After pressing OK button, it will ask do you want to create new parameter. Say Yes and proceed further.9. Now save the Data model by pressing Save icon.

10. Would recommend create your own folder in My Folders and save your work over there.

11. Have created Test directory under My Folders and then saved data model over there.

12. Now click on return button and say stay on same page.

13. Now, you will notice your data model has been selected. Select Generate RTF layout for this data model.

14. Enter Name of Template.

15. Save the report.

16. Click on View Report.

17. Enter the parameter.
