How to disagree to a statement.

For Primary Children
‘You can’t do it.’
‘Yes, I can.’
She can’t make her child read herself.
‘Yes, I can.’
Why did you beat the egg?‘No I didn’t.’
Why did you break the clock?
‘No I didn’t.’
Disagreements with affirmative statements are made with No + pronoun + auxiliary + n’t/not.
“But” is often used in disagreement with a question or an assumption.
Disagreements with negative statements are made with Yes / but + pronoun + auxiliary.
