3. 1. Volunteer service is critical, if the student isnt helping others, why should we help them.2. Get scholarship recommendation letters in late August to early September of your senior year. Some scholarships have September due dates. You need one each from a school counselor, favorite teacher, community member, employer, minister, and/or coach. DO NOT put a date on it!!!1. Have at least four generic essays, including one on your future goals and a personal autobiographical statement.2. Get one of those large desk calendars and record scholarships and each due date. Mail application two weeks ahead of due date. (Maintains parental sanity, hahaha.)1. Check your campus career center weekly, see if they have a list of scholarships.
