How to extrude from existing material with associative constraints

• Create new plane on face• Sketch

– Draw– Dimension– (Optional) constrain– Generate

• Extrude– Select sketch– Select add or cut material– Set depth and direction– Generate

Creating extrude featureNote: hard to select lines out of a sketch. Best to extrude the whole sketch. Make multiple sketches if needing different features.

Note 1

• Sketching>Modify>Trim to remove mistakes.• Sketching>Details>Show constraints.

Occasionally you may want to delete inferred constraints.

• Click the “select mode” button to escape zoom commands.
