ZIP LINING/HIGH ROPES COURSEThis Adventure through the tree tops is sure to get your heart racing. The trek involves a number of 500 foot long zip lines joined by a network of tree top obstacles.

RIVER TUBING / STEPPING STONESExperience the Thrills, serious fun and adventure on the rushing rapids on the river Awbeg. Stepping stones is our own take on TOTAL WIPEOUTS “the big red balls”

GIANT SWING / LEAP OF FAITHThe ultimate adrenaline rush, not for the faint hearted. Both are Freefall activities from over 50foot where freefall, max and Zero Gravity are experienced.

ARCHERY / AIR SOFT / LASER CLAYGo through the exhilaration of hitting the bulls eye or clay for the very first time. Participants get ample practice before competitive shoot out with their peers.

RIVER KAYAKINGExplore the Blackwater Valley by kayak and experience the pristine natural environment whilst having fun and passing sites of Historical interest.

WALL CLIMBING / ABSEILINGWhat goes up must come down. Climbing and Abseiling on our 50 foot tower is an exhilarating experience with routes for differing levels of ability.

ZORBINGStrapped inside an inflatable sphere which acts as a shock absorber, hold on for the adrenaline rush as you are launched head over heels down a 200ft. incline.

TEAM BUILDING / ESTATE HISTORY TOURParticipate in activities that are Fun, Challenging, Developmental and interactive. Also learn about the fascinating and significant history of the Castle Estate.

WILDERNESS SURVIVAL SKILLSLearn to survive in the wilderness including; collection and purification of water, fire lighting, shelter building, foraging for wild foods and navigation.

ORIENTEERING / HIKING / CAVINGIn the picturesque and historic setting of Blackwater Castle estate, explore the Natural environment whilst you navigate from point to point in a diverse terrain.

HOW TO FIND US

Castletownroche is approx half way between Fermoy and Mallow on the N72, the Castle estate is in the village, from the main road take the turn at the Rockforrest bar, the entrance to the castle estate is 300yards on the left.

ABOUT US

BLACKWATER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES LTD is and established Outdoor Activities centre, based in the picturesque and historic Blackwater Castle Estate in Castletownroche, North Cork.

Our Primary activities on site include;ZIP LINING, HIGH ROPES COURSE, ZORBING, RIVER TUBING, ARCHERY, GIANT SWING, LEAP OF FAITH, AIR SOFT, RIVER KAYAKING, LAZER CLAY SHOOTING, TEAM BUILDING, WILDERNESS SURVIVAL SKILLS, CAMPING, WALL CLIMBING, ABSEILING, HISTORY TOUR.

With facilities to cater for large groups in excess of 80 at any one time, full day schedules are available for Primary School during the months May and June.

All Activities are based in Blackwater Castle Estate, a Private & safe environment.

Our school programmes are interactive, fun, challenging, and developmental with increased awareness of the Natural Environment and History.

We are fully insured, all staff are mature adults and all are Garda vetted. We are members of ILAM (Irish leisure and Amenity Management)

All activities are suitable for 2nd – 6th class Primary School students.

The maximum number of participants we will have on any one activity at any one time is 20 therefore for groups larger than 20 we staff and run multiple activities simultaneously to avoid any unnecessary waiting time for participants with groups alternating between activities during the schedule.

Schedules at Blackwater Outdoor Activities are guaranteed to be full of Action, Adrenaline and Adventure. All activities have some level of teamwork, competition and educational element.

We only take one booking at a time therefore groups are exclusively on the Estate for the duration of their event and not sharing the facilities with other schools.
