According to the functions that must be carried out by the networks, the following roles can be identified:

The proposing organisation formally presents the proposed project to the national Agency.

The sending organisation provides the participants and arranges their deployment abroad.

The coordinating organisation is responsible for carrying out the project, ensuring all phases and activities are carried out.

The host organisation is the responsible for welcoming the beneficiaries abroad.

The intermediary organisation can be seen to assist the partners in specific tasks.

With regard to the types of organisations which can act as proposing organisms, the rules of the LLP are explicit: with

particular reference to corporations which wish to present themselves as candidates for a Leonardo da Vinci mobility project,

there may be:

Institutions and organisations that offer learning opportunities in the areas covered by various sectorial programmes;

Associations and representatives that work in the field of education and vocational training; including the associations of in-training people and those of parents and teachers;

Businesses, social parts and representatives of the labour market, including the Chambers of Commerce;

The organisations that provide careers services, advice and information linked to any aspect of life-long learning;

Institutes of secondary education; Charity organisations, voluntary associations and non-profit making

organisations.

The specific characteristics of the three types of mobility

IVT (Intervention networks targeted at juniors in initial vocational training)

IVT networks’ objective is to support participants in the process of learning and life-long learning in the acquisition of skills to support individual development, employability and participation in the labour market.

The beneficiaries are normally adolescents from 15 to 19 years old, students in vocational training ,apprentices, trainees (except for secondary education where they can benefit from Erasmus funding).

PLM (Networks for interventions aimed at people on the labour market)

are intended:

to develop individual’s competences; to develop the enhancement of his employment

opportunity; to develop the improvement of the trainees mobility.

The potential beneficiaries belong to two different types, either self-employed people or workers in mobility or in redundancy payment, either newly-graduated or newly- qualified people.

VETPRO (Networks for action aimed at professional people in the field of education and vocational training)

Aims at:

sustaining transnational mobility of people who work in the field of vocational training and in human resources development;

reinforcing the vocational training sector through the mutual learning , the cooperation, the good practices exchange.

The target is quite different from that of the two previous typologies because it is formed by adults who work in the education and

training field : therefore, they are teachers, trainers, counsellors, human resources development operators

Content:

Components and functions in mobility networks. Differences among networks according to the

three mobility typologies. Types of institutions and suggestions according

to the three typologies. Some examples of VETPRO networks.


Recommended
