HOW TO GET TRAFFIC FROM INSTAGRAM TO OUR BLOG
Hi to all,
Here i am writing this article because of many people trying to get traffic from INSTAGRAM. I think
this guide will be helpful.
Instagram is one of the hottest visual social media platforms, bringing a human and approachable
aspect to your brand. If you have a brand account on the Instagram, then your main attention is to
grab more followers’ every day.
Photos or images as you know make social media surfers go gaga. At Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest we
have noticed photos drive more traffic to the websites, so on Instagram it is not something new.

Instagram is one of the hottest visual social media platforms, bringing a human and approachable
aspect to your brand.
Instagram has over 300 million users who have taken billions of photos, so your potential customers
are already using it daily.
This huge adoption of Instagram is a great marketing opportunity since it is now part of your
customers’ native behaviour.
Every one of us blogger absolutely hates the fact that Instagram doesn’t allow us to post clickable
links on our profiles.
At least I know I do. For me, ways of getting traffic to my blog still include old school ways like
posting the link on Facebook, publishing a post on Twitter.

1. Use a Teaser:
Many people (including yours truly) tend to use Instagram as a way to keep up and follow blogs. I
feel like I stay up to date with many of my favorite bloggers by following them on Instagram while in
fact I don’t know half of the collabs, shoots and awesome things they do through instagram.
Your traffic won’t probably increase by just posting your blog pictures; it might even go down
because people feel like they’ve seen it all.
But if you just show a detail shot and write a teaser with it such as ‘find out what shoes I wore with
this outfit by checking out my blog’ you will most likely see an increasing amount of traffic coming in
from Instagram.

2. Remind people of the existence of your blog:
This sounds very logical but until one of my blogger friends recently mentioned this I actually
realized that I never remind people of the existence of my blog through Instagram. I just post snaps
of my travels and daily life but until then I didn’t mention anything about my blog for a while.
Just remember, many people who follow you might follow because someone suggested it, Instagram
suggested you or because of features on other accounts and it might as well be so that a lot of your
followers on Instagram are not even aware of your blog. So always keep spreading the word guys.

3. Use Appealing images:
Make sure the blog content you post to Instagram is amazing. Instagram is an amazing way to
showcase your business, your blog. You have to make it people’s worthwhile and become people’s
priority to visit your blog and put time in that.
You’ve joined Instagram, you’ve started following others and they’re following you back, but now it’s
time to post photos to Instagram. Choosing the right angle or filter may seem intimidating, but it’s
much easier once you understand how to use the features to the most.

4. Use Instagram Badges:
Instagram made icons is the easiest tool to link back to your account and drive the traffic back to
your online profile. Learn the way to add Instagram badges at the tutorial in Instagram blog to create
your own badges.
5. Be Active and Engaging:
If you really want to grow an audience and create brand advocates, Instagram is the place to do that.
But you have to be as equally open, engaging, and active with your audience. You want to like and
comment on a lot of other people’s posts.

6. Use of #Hashtags
Last but not least just like Twitter, Instagram uses hashtags to organize photos. If you have used
Instagram, then you might have noticed that the picture description has many hashtags, which
makes the picture more searchable.
Some hashtags are popular than the other, but it is advisable to use the relevant hashtags that fits
your brand image. Instagram search engine is more powerful than the Twitter, therefore if you start
adding more hashtags, better becomes your chances of getting your images discovered by more
number of people. Use at the most three hashtags as more than 3 makes people believe that the
photo is a spam.
Research a little to see which hashtags are popular on Instagram. Include them in your pictures to
reach out to the refined target.
“Do I need to use hashtags?”
No, you do not have to use hashtags, but we suggest using at least one (up to a maximum of three)
to increase the chances of your photo being seen, which also helps you build a larger consumer
base.
“Can I make up my own hashtag?”
Yes! Create hashtags that directly reflect your business. Some examples would be your business
name, tagline, etc. Get creative!
