How to install a new Kunena forum template
Kunena is a forum component for Joomla. It available from www.kunena.org.
Introduction When you install Kunena for the first time
on your Joomla website, the installation includes the standard Blue Eagle template.
You can use a different template — either your own design or a professionally-designed one that you have downloaded.
To install a new template for Kunena, use the Components » Kunena Forum » Template Manager function on your Joomla administration website.
Kunena Blue Eagle template
This is the standard Blue Eagle template for K 3.0• For demonstration
purposes, the site is based on J! 3.3 using the default Protostar template.
• Depending on the Joomla site template that you are using, the display may be different.
Preparation So you have downloaded a new Kunena
template (or you have spent the last 2 weeks designing your own template) ...
Make sure that you have stored the Kunena template package as a compressed .ZIP file
For our demonstration we will assume that your template is called tpl_the_drum_v1.0.0_2014-07-03.zip
Kunena Template Manager Go to your Joomla
administration site: 1. Go to
Components » Kunena Forum » Template Manager
Kunena Template Manager 2. Click New
Template
Kunena Template Manager 3. Click Browse to
enter the filename of the Kunena template package.
4. Click Upload File & Install
For our demonstration we have assumed that template file is C:\Downloads\tpl_the_drum_v1.0.0_2014-07-03.zip
Kunena Template Manager 5. You should see
the message “Kunena template <template-name> installed successfully”.
Kunena Template Manager 6. Make your new
template the default.
Your new template installed and operational
This is your new Kunena template, fully operational.
