How to make……..

CARAMELISED ONIONS!

Before we start……

• Wash hands• Remove jewellery• Put on an apron• Tie back long hair

What you will need…

2-3 large brown onions

2 tbs brown sugar 1-2 tbs

balsamic vinegar

2 tbs olive oil

Prepare onions for slicing by…

• Removing outer layers

• Slicing in half lengthwise

Slice onions against the grain

Heat oil in large frying pan

Add onions and salt

Cook for 15-20 minutes on LOW heat

When onions look like this….

Add vinegar and sugar

Cook for a further 5-10minutes

They are ready when they look like this

Serve on some pita bread or alongside sausages
