1. Create a folder and copy your flash FLA file.

E.g. I created a folder name called “iCalculator “and copied its

FLA file there. (Only one file will be there as of now)

2.  Open your flash FLA file and publish html.

Click Publish

Choose HTML tab.

Click Publish to publish the html

3. Now you will find three files as shown below.

One FLA Source File, One Flash File Swf, one html file

4. Rename the appname.html file to index.html

5. Create an icon 128x128 and save as icon.png

Note – icon name should be “icon.png” only 

6. ZIP the associated files with the HTML

E.g. here we are zipping the swf, html and png file using winzip

7. Zip file created

8. Login into http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us If you don’t have a developer login create one its FREE for limited Period

9. Click My Dashboard

10.  Click Start a New Application

11.  Enter the application name and Click Start Application

12.  Copy the GUID of the application

13.  Now Open the Encapsulator Link

14.  Click My Tab

15.  Enter the details and Paste the GUID id which we

copied in step 12.Paste in “APP GUID for Meego” Field. 

No NEED to paste any GUID for windows.

16.  Browse and choose the zipped file.

17.  Make sure the Additional App settings have your app

design window size.

Maximum size for netbook is 1024 x 600.

18.  You can also make the window resizable

Note: We’ve seen some flash based apps crash when the window is

resized by the user. If an app developer encounters this during testing,

recommend “disable” making window resizable.

19.  Click Make it button. You should see the following

popup

20.  Now click the next tab “Check Status”. After few mins

you should be able to see the rpm and

exe

21.  Click and Download the RPM.

22.  Testing on Meego:

Try to test the RPM in Meego. If you don’t have Meego installed.

Try using one of the live images and a USB stick

23.  You can also download and install the EXE in windows

24.  Install and check the app. check the dimensions and

look of the app. If it’s working fine then we can

proceed to next step, else make changes in the

window dimensions and make the app again.

25.  Go the dashboard where we have created the new app

already. Fill the information, choose icon, createscreenshot

26.  Fill the information and press Next. Then fill the pricing

tab information. Then fill the upload info. In that

choose supported OS Platform as Meego Netbook.

27.  Then choose the language and then click browse to

choose the “com.companyname.appname.rpm “ 

28.  Wait till it finishes the upload then click next.

29.  Navigate to AppUp(SM) Center Testing Tab. Wait for

10-15 minutes approx so that the installer getsdeployed. Enter your Appup Center client Login email

in “Add Beta Testers” Field and Click Invite. Login in

your Appup Client. Your New App will be available in

my apps section of the Appup Client. Do the beta

testing. It’s recommended to do beta testing.

30.  Finally review and submit the app wait for validationto be completed. It will be done in 4-5 working days.

Best Wishes for the app to be published.
