If you are having difficulty booking your LGV Driver CPC theory test to be a professional lorry driver this will be because you gained your car driving licence before 1997 and have something called acquired rights to drive a small truck already. This conflicts with your ability to book this test online due to other regulations governing Driver CPC rules. In this case you can’t book the test online, you must phone Pearson Vue on 0300 200 1188 and mention that you have acquired rights to drive an LGV C1 vehicle but wish to opt to take the Driver CPC theory test, also known as LGV Module 2 Case Studies rather than complete 35 hours of Periodic CPC training. They will then inform you that they will contact the DVLA to make a licence inquiry to ensure you are eligible and will phone you back in 10 days to book the test. However it’s our advice to contact them after 5 days and make the inquiry for a 2nd time, by this point they will have processed your DVLA inquiry and you should ask to book the LGV Theory Test, mentioning you have already requested a licence check.
