Preparation
1. Latest IVMS-4200 version
Download link: https://www.hikvision.com/au-en/Support/Downloads/Client-Software
2. Access controller: DS-K260X-G(X could be 1,2,4)
3. The IVMS-4200 need to be in the same network as access controller
4. A card reader with built-in keypad connecting to the controller
How to set up PIN code to unlock the door
1. Add device to iVMS-4200
1) Open iVMS-4200, add access controller to the system. And create users for the controller (If you are confused about this step, please go to the “how to issue cards to HIK access controller”)
2. Set up authentication mode for card reader
1) Find “access control” tab in the iVMS-4200.Click it and then go to the “Advanced Settings”
2) Click “card reader authentication”, select one of the reader. Click the configuration

3) Select “Card or Authentication Password”. Click right arrow to move “Card or Authentication
mode” to right part.
4) Select the “card or authentication” mode, draw an area in the schedule. Click “copy to week” if
you want to apply this mode to whole week.
3. Configure PIN code for each card
1) Go to “Authentication password”

2) Click the controller and input the authentication code for the user. I put “123456” here.
Now try input authentication code 123456 on the relative reader and press “#”. It will unlock the door.
