THE BEST PLACES FOR SPRING BREAK AS AN ADULT

KU SH MA H A N:

Even though you’re not in college anymore, that doesn’t mean you can’t take a well-deserved vacation in early spring. After

the long, dark hours of winter and work, you’re probably ready to let loose for your own Spring Break as an adult. So, here’s a

list of the top 5 destinations to think about heading to…

#1: PORTLAND,

OR• Let your inner college wardrobe out in Portland

and wear as much plaid as you’d like.

• And if plaid wasn’t your thing, beer probably was - Portland’s got a wide range of incredible craft breweries that you can enjoy, no matter what age you are.

• Though it may not be the beach, Oregon offers beautiful hiking trails, a quaint city filled with vintage antiques, and some of the kindest people you’ll find in the states.

• Plus, you won’t find many rowdy college Spring Breakers here.

#2:CHARLESTON,

SC

• You’ll know as soon as you arrive that Charleston is no Myrtle Beach.

• What isn’t appealing about Charleston? A southern, cobblestoned-street city right on the water filled with great restaurants, bars, and shopping - there’s always plenty to do in Charleston

• Some restaurants to check out? Xiao Bao Biscuit (Asian food with a Southern twist) and Ordinary Oyster Bar (for some delicious, fresh seafood)

• Plus, Charleston has beaches! Drive up to the relaxing Isle of Palms and enjoy digging your feet into it’s smooth sands, or opt for a more upbeat crowd and check out Folly Beach, where you can surf and hang out by it’s infamous piers.

#3:SONOMA , CA

• It doesn’t get more classy than Sonoma, especially when it comes to wine.

• By now you’ve probably learned all the terms associated with wine-tasting - think “legs” and“mid-palate” - so now it’s time to put you to the test.

• Not a wino? Don’t worry, there’s way more to Sonoma then those breath-taking vineyards.

• So rent a car (which you probably couldn’t do while you were in college) and drive to the Lagunitas Brewing Factory about 40 miles away, and enjoy not only the views along the way, but the wonderful live music and sun that awaits when you get there.

# 4:D U B L I N , I R E L A ND

• Traveling to Dublin in early spring is surprisingly cheap, so the adult you will love the fact that you get to travel internationally and save your money.

• Though it may not be beach weather, you’ll be in Europe, so who cares!

• Take a stroll to the Guinness Factory, hang out along the canal, drink some Jameson in an old pub, or even brush up on your James Joyce (pictured right) and visit the museum dedicated to him.

• Besides, it’s probably going to be close to St. Patrick’s day, and you know the Irish will be in good spirits.

# 5:PL AYA

TAMAR I ND O , CO S TA R I CA

• Why you’ll love playa Tamarindo? Well, for one thing, it has beautiful beaches without the Spring Break crowd.

• You can do hot yoga, shop at the farmers market, and do tons of outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, and horseback riding.

• If that doesn’t have you sold, Playa Tamarindo is surrounded by oceans, jungles, and volcanoes - so wherever you go you’re sure to have an insanely gorgeous view that’s way more exciting then the background to your desktop.
