capturing and organizing information.

Go to https://evernote.comand press ENTER key in

your keyboard

Create an account to sign into the Evernote website


For passwords of Evernote account,

make sure it’s a very strong password.

Click download EVERNOTE to set up in your computer

Click DOWNLOAD EVERNOTE and press ENTER key


Click the file to start the installation


In this dialogue box, click “Run” to install Evernote


Dialogue box shows when installer is running


Accept Terms, then click “Install”


Click Finish


Find Evernote shortcut in the desktop

menu


Click Get Started


Get a FREE account



Every time you use EVERNOTE on the web, you

will asked to Sign in


To create a note, click NEW NOTE


Click “Create your first note” to get started


Type Title of your note


But before we proceed, let me take you to another website

Play the videos that will guide you in organizing your notes, emails and

Using Evernote desktop, we will create a

notebook patterned from TSW (The Secret

Weapon)


Click File and create New Notebook


Let us name “Cabinet”


Rename existing note into Action Pending


Rename Notebook Stack to Tasks


Notebook is renamed as Tasks


Create notebook in Tasks and name it Completed

Right click Tasks

Click Create


We create an initial note under Action Pending

Click New Note


Type First Note under

Title


We will use it as a vehicle to our basic collection of contacts in the form of

TAGS


Click Add Tag


Let’s write “.What” for the first tag. Press Enter to add

another tag


Continue to add tags in the First Note


These tags represent broad category of tasks

groupings


Now let’s add more for the “.When” tag


All entries appear in the Tags folder


All entries appear in the Tags folder


Also added names for

the .Who tag


Because we are running out of space,

we need to create another note


We name it Second Note


Other Tags are also created


LET’S ORGANIZE TAGS


Let us work on the “.When”

Tag


Click 1-Now and drag to “.When”.

Do the same with others


Now look at how organized are the tasks using Tags!


We can also compress or

expand each group depending on how

to access it


Click Triangle sign located before the

name


Now we have completed the

Evernote Set-up


We can start to collect, review or

organize data using The Secret Weapon


Next will be to set up emails from

inbox to organize it with Evernote


We will set up using IMAP from the

OutlookGetting Inbox from

clutter to empty


To Sync Outlook with Evernote


Click File


Click Options


Click Add-ins


Click Evernote Clipper for MS

Outlook

Click OK


Evernote is now added in the Outlook


Let us save outlook mails in Evernote


Highlight mails in inbox


Click Save to Evernote icon in the menu pane


Or right Click Save

to Evernote


Now in the Evernote, click Save


Note that emails go directly to Action Pending

folder


To arrange emails in the tasks folders


Click email and drag to Accounting


Accounting has now 2 emails


To delete an email, drag file to Trash folder


Notice that files in the Action pending are

already tagged


This means that all emails are now completed and

organized according to its category


For completed tasks, transfer all files to the

completed folder


Highlight emails and drag to Completed Folder


Emails are now in the Completed folder


Using Evernote everyday will let you have a ZERO

inbox


Review saved mails daily and organize


Or you can do weekly review


NOW LET US SAVE AN IMAGE IN EVERNOTE


Create new notebook



Name new notebook as IMAGES

Click Create


Attach image from the computer folder


Click folder


Get an image from Picture folder


Click the image


Drag to Evernote


Drop to IMAGES


Image shown inside Evernote


You can rename the image and tag it


Click the “jpg”


Type your desire new name


TO EMAIL A NOTE


Open Share button and click send copy


A captcha will appear on the first email


Verify and click Send


Recipient receives a notification in the inbox


Subscribing Evernote allows you to receive updates on new tricks
