How we will manageyour Anti-Social Behaviour complaintGentoo aim to make sure that we:• Allow you to feel safe in your home;
• Be sensitive to your needs;
• Carry out interviews confidentially, in a quiet room and with an interpreter, if you need one;
• Arrange for someone of the same sex to interview you if you prefer;
• Regularly keep you up to date;
• Work with you when required to tailor a support plan to make sure we meet your needs.
When you make a report of ASB we will:• Take appropriate and timely action against people responsible for ASB;
• Take early action to prevent ASB turning into more serious situations;
• Set up projects to help prevent ASB, if needed;
• Support you and your family;
• Use the tools and powers at our disposal, when relevant, to resolve your problem.

If you are a victim of anti-social behaviour, we will:• Communicate with you regularly;
• Offer you appropriate support;
• Give you advice over the phone or meet you in private and at a place you choose;
• Give you time to think before you make a decision;
• Offer you continuous support, whatever decision you make;
• Fully explain what options you have and what action we can take to deal with the problem;
• Work with you to come up with a support plan to make sure we meet all your needs during this difficult time;
• Do anything we can to help you collect proof of the anti-social behaviour you are suffering, for example we could provide equipment to monitor noise and fit security cameras;
• Offer you help out of our usual hours from our neighbourhood enforcement officers;
• Provide emotional support help and advice;
• Give you housing advice;
• Work with other partners, such as the Police, Wearside Women in Need and Sunderland City Council on your behalf; and
• Recommend or refer you to other organisations which can give you support, counselling and advice.
