Until his untimely death at age 46 Howard Young was a gifted psychotherapist in Albert Ellis' RET system. He emphasized building a trustful relationship with adolescents before teaching them some of the main RET principles. He specialized in simplifying the RET messages, so that even his toughest clients could understand them. He was an innovative psychotherapist who had "Street Smarts".
