New designs for our playground development
We currently have a new design to improve and enhance the outdoor area between the
library and the sandpit. Our playground improvement committee have been planning for the
last couple of years to look at creating an outdoor learning space as well as an area for
students to play in during lunch and recess time.
We have had the Asset Services Officer visit our school to look at the plans and the area to start
the process. Watch this space for further developments!

Cooking with Stage One
The smell of freshly squeezed lemonade plus cauliflower and potato soup drifted in
and around our school yesterday with Stage One busily cutting, juicing, mixing and
cooking to make a delicious lunch enjoyed by students and volunteers. We thank Lyn
Gallagher and Eileen Just who set up the hall and coordinated the volunteers during
the cooking program. All students enjoyed the chance to learn new skills and loved
the opportunity to be guided by the parents who volunteered their time to make this
such a rewarding and successful session.

On Monday we had another 2020 Kinder Taster day. The students enjoyed a lovely percussion
session with Mrs Cheeseman. They created a body orchestra using their heads, arms and legs for
percussion. They also created some bell tunes to sing twinkle twinkle little star.

Health Concerns-Over the last few weeks we have had many students unwell with colds, flu
and gastro. There have also been several cases of head lice. Please ensure if your child is
unwell that they are kept at home to avoid spreading of these bugs throughout the school.
Remind your child/children about the vigilance of handwashing and covering their mouth
when coughing. Also remember to check your child’s hair regularly and remind them not to
share hats.
Thank you.
