Limitations & Formulas for calculation of Educational Indicators

The age group population is based on the Village Education Register upto Elementary. In some

schools, these registers are not being updated regularly. Further, the enrolment figures of some

private schools are also not included in the data as these schools are not sharing their

information. However, population for Secondary and Hr. Secondary classes has been taken from

Census Projection 2001. The GER/NER figures are subject to these limitations.

GER Primary = Total Enrolment in I-V in time year *100

Total Population of age 6-10 in time year

GER U. Primary = Total Enrolment in VI-VIII in year time *100


NER Primary = Total Enrolment in I-V aged 6-10 in time year*100
