Eddie Pops into Training - over the last couple of seasons we have been developing
our links with Colchester United, several teams have been over as mascots or enjoyed coaching and
recently the ever popular mascot Eddie the Eagle popped into training. As you can see, its not just
the children who enjoy meeting him !!
Pitch Planner—our hard working committee are constantly thinking of new ways to improve your club
and recently introduced the pitch planner. This is shared on our social media sites and is put on site on a
Sunday morning. It’s aim is to stop that issue we have all faced of getting to an away ground on a Sunday
morning and trying to work our which pitch you are meant to be playing on. Its had great feedback already
and seems to be well received
Arsenal Ladies Sister Club— we were selected as one of only 12 clubs to be an Arsenal
Ladies sister club this season. Thanks to the hard work of Donn Fletcher, we will be able to access
the Arsenal Ladies coaches, opportunity to mascot at Arsenal Ladies games as well as other fantas-
tic benefits

5 stars
Congratulations to Lin Sayers, who has managed to secure a
Food Hygiene rating of 5 stars for the clubhouse. Well done
Lin.
Men’s Team - Go over to our website to read
a great interview with first team men’s manager
Steve Pretty.
We are always looking for more volun-
teers to help out, it might be in the club-
house serving behind the bar, or do you
have a skill that could be of use to the
committee or business committee?
Please get in touch with your manager
or committee member to find out more.
Club Shop—With thoughts turning to Christmas why not shop on our club website
www.sxsports.co.uk and select club shop/Hatfield Peverel. Here you can buy additional
items such as training wear, tracksuits etc. Each purchase earns the club money which
can be spent on equipment for the teams

We regularly run competitions, raffles and prizes. Our last man standing competition
winner can take home over £200. Check with Lin in the clubhouse for details.
We regularly look for grants to improve our club and facilities, we secured almost
£2,000 from the Essex FA in the summer to replace our plastic samba goals with new
metal foldable goals.
We have almost 300 followers on twitter and our posts get seen and shared widely.
Sponsors - we have been working on bringing in more sponsors to the club and thanks to the
hard work of your managers and committee not only have we had a number of new shirt and team
sponsors this season but we have seen a number of companies purchase our pitchside banners
also. Our thanks go out to all these companies for their support.
