    The last day the Counseling Office will be open for studentsor parents to mail personal application documents beforethe December break is December 15. All documents thatyou want sent through ISM's UPS rate will need to be tothe Counseling Office in an addressed envelope by 3:00PM. You can mail personal application documents after thisdate through UPS, FedEx and other courier services locatedthroughout Manila. The counseling office will open againfor students and parents to mail application documents onJanuary 9.

    INTERNATIONAL FAMILY FUN DAY:Dear Parents,

    The holidays are quickly approaching, and Im sure we areall looking forward to enjoying some well-deservedvacation time. However, the PTA has its biggest event of

    the school year coming up as well International FamilyFun Day (IFFD), which will take place on January 21, 2012.This is an event that continues to be a highlight of the ISMexperience.

    There are many reasons for attending and participating inIFFD from children enjoying the games and fun withtheir friends to parents experiencing a new adventure inculinary diplomacy at the International Food TastingBooths.

    In past years, countries from all over the world have been

    represented in the International Food Fair. It only takes a

    small group of volunteers to put together a booth, andsharing our diverse, multi-national cuisine is a trulyrewarding experience. Please contact me if you want toget involved. Any help at all would be greatlyappreciated!

    Thus far I have at least one volunteer for the following

    countries:

    Japan, Taiwan, Pakistan, Thailand, Latin

    America, Australia/New Zealand, and Europe

    Here are the countries that have not yet been represented:

    Philippines, India, Korea, America/Canada, China, andIndonesia.If you are interested or know anyone who is, my contactinformation is:

    7:30am - 12:30pm at The Loft, at ISM*More than 20 Charity organizations arecoming to ISM, like Children's Hour,Enchanted Farm, PCF, Invisible, EnriqueZobel Foundation, and Silver Handicrafts,

    among others, to sell their handmade crafts*It's your chance to do more Christmas

    shopping and at the same time give back tothe community.*Come for coffee and Christmas treats andstart feeling the festive season! Get apreview of the MS Concert and beentertained by our talented musicians whowill be performing later that day.

    FROM THE ATAC OFFICE:IASAS MODEL UNITED NATIONS: MUN wound up lastSaturday with a great day of debate at the GeneralAssembly, followed by an entertaining student banquet andwonderful closing ceremony. I would like to thank all whohad a role in the putting together this huge event, especiallythe IT/AV Departments for all their setup and technicalassistance. I would also like to extend a very big thanks toall families that agreed to open their homes and house avisiting delegate it is very much appreciated and theguests from the IASAS schools were extremely impressedwith the kind hospitality they were shown during their time inManila.

    Varsity Basketball Invitational at Brent: This afternoonand all day Saturday our varsity boys and girls basketballteams will be playing at Brent in their invitationaltournament. Teams from Shanghai and local HS teams willbe playing in this tournament. Tournament schedule isincluded in this bulletin.

    BEARCATS RUGBY 10s: ISM will host our own rugbytournament with 2 schools from China and 1 school fromJapan flying in to play next week. The Bearcats Rugby 10 sschedule is attached in this bulletin and tournament gameswill be played Thursday Dec 1 and Friday Dec 2 afterschooland all day Saturday Dec 3rd. It is going to be a great eventfor the development of our rugby program at ISM. We hopethat that the ISM community can come out support our JVand Varsity teams as they battle against Dulwich CollegeShanghai and Beijing and Canadian Academy Kobe, Japan.Our varsity boys team will travel to Bangkok today for pre-IASAS rugby and will return Sunday.

    IASAS RUGBY/TOUCH HOUSING: With IASAS MUN nowcompleted the next fantastic ISM Special event is on thehorizon. We host rugby/touch Feb 1-5, 2012 and 140athletes require housing for this event. All rugby and touchathletes have been given a housing letter this week atpractice and I would also make a request for all athletes thatwere housed in Singapore recently.we need your supportto reciprocate the hospitality given to you by housing forIASAS Rugby/Touch. The housing letter can be accessedvia the ATAC blog or there is a link to it on the IASASRugby/Touch page

    MS Tennis: Congratulations to the MS boys Division Tennis Team who won their second match of the seasolast week vs Southridge 5-0. They play Ateneo tomorrow ithe 3

    rdmatch of the season, along with the MS Boys A team

    who play their first match tomorrow morning at ISM vLaSalle Green Hills. The MS Girls tennis team will take oSt. Paul in their 2

    ndmatch of the season tomorrow. Goo

    luck and a big thanks to the MS tennis parents who havbeen coming along to support the teams so far this season.

    ISM Swim meet: Congratulations to all sailfish swimmerwho raced last Saturday at our first ISM meet for this year. Agreat day of racing was had and full meet results are posteon the sailfish blog and on the sailfish page of the ATACblog.
