The idea to hang a candle holder from the ceiling was inspired by the practical desire to free up table space. Its sleek copper construction lends it the quality of simple elegance. Additionally, the hangers may be cou-pled to extend their length, as desired.

Conventional citrus juicers are generally designed for use with just lemons and oranges. My design takes into consideration aesthetic innovation, as well as practical application. This set of citrus squeezers comes in four sizes: lime, lemon, orange, and grapefruit.

Each squeezer is made of recycled rubber, giving it green value construction, it can accommodate individual variation in fruit size. Equally, rubber cupping allows for supple, intuitive manipulation of the fruit, making for maximum extraction of the juice. The grip of the fruit, while keeping the user’s hand clean from the juice. The set of four juice squeezers can also function as serving bowls for nuts, for deep and saucer.

A Cooking Stove makes for a very educational toy. Naturally, children like to get involved in and to imitate their parents in their everyday activities, such as cooking. A Cooking Stove for Children serves as a means for parents to teach their children what goes into the everyday practice and art of cooking, which also includes how to handle kitchen ware with care. Such a skill is important for everyday life. But for its smaller size, I fashioned this stove to resemble the appliance one might find in any kitchen. The design includes space to store toy pots, pans, and other kitchenware, as well as space functional, it occasions as opportunity for children to learn to collect their toys after play, another good life lesson.

Grandpa’s antique worktable that has not been used for years now has been in the same spot in the garage since 1930, when the grandparents used to live in this house. I found uncountable nails, various thickly coloured spots from different paints, and I saw many cut marks left from Grandpa’s time. The table was roughly put together with different kinds of wood. One could tell that the table got good usage overtime. The purpose for saving this piece is manyfold: first, to continue to have with us a memorable piece from Grandpa’s time; also to have an object that is purposeful but also that adds to an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere in our living environment while it still holds its functionality.

Cable and wires are essential to all electronic equipment, which seem always to outlive the units they serve. For instance, our computer was no longer operable, nor reparable; therefore, we bought a new one. But, we wondered, what to do with the old cables and wiring? This situationafforded an opportunity to revision these used yet substantial materials. In terms of their properties, these wires are flexible, durable, andcolorful.In them I saw new life as jewelry. For this project I disassembled and then refashioned this wire into several pieces of jewelry.
